    Horrible Smelling Gas

I do not eat the artificial sweeteners - they give me a migraine.

    Miserable

It got better with anti-nausea medication that my doc gave me and learning about my pouch. Everyone is different and you must learn what food makes you sick. I would take my anti-nausea medication 30 min before eating and that seemed to help. Stay in contact with your doctor and tell them everything. My doc said that as we loose fat it releases toxins in our blood causing the issues. You will get through this!!!! Remember why you did this, and keep your eye on the prize. If you ever have questions feel free to send me a private message.

    Miserable

It does get better I promise. I went through the same thing. Have a good boohoo session and get the feelings out. I went weeks without being able to eat without throwing up, I regretted my decision to have the surgery, and kept thinking what the F$@& did I do this for. I talked with my doctor and I got through it. I am 5 months post op down 80lbs and 5 pant sizes. I can eat just about anything I want, but watch my portions. Just hang in there and remember why you did this in the first place. It will get better and better!!!! Don't ever hesitate asking questions on here!!!

    Impressed

I was driving home last night after work and thought to my self wow it takes so much more to be going through the process during the holidays. So I want everyone to know we are here for you and you are amazing people for making the choice when you did knowing it was going to be harder. Everyone can do it!!! Stay strong everyone!!!
  9. I take a medication called fiorinal. For my migraines. Doc has been ok with it. You have to crush them down. Also the phenergan you get for nausea will help with a migraine.

    Impressed

That is why I posted it. We are here for you during this hard time.
  11. Well at 5 months post op I have no regrets, but when I was 2 months post op I did. I was not able to keep things down and was throwing up after every meal. I was crying all the time and basically hated my decision, but then I went to the doctor and found out that was normal reaction to this. He got me good medication and things started to turn around. 80 pounds later and 5 pant sizes later I am thankful I did this!

    Plateaued

Sounds like fluid retention to me. I have found that I will stall for a week and then have really good days. Remember your body is still trying to figure out what is happening to it. It is in starvation mode right now and it's instinct is too hold onto everything. Just let it adjust and stop worrying!

I Am 8 Days Out And Struggling

My doc said the most important thing right free surgery was fluid. He did not care about my protein intake. He said sip water all day long. I have found some pedilight Popsicles at Walmart that are really good.

    Weightloss Without Execrise

I have rhuematoid arthitis and exercising is an important part of this process. I know it is hard when we are in flares, but getting in any exercise will help the body. Every little bit counts, and the last thing you want to do is give into the disease. It is true that once you start exercising you will feel better, but I will admit that we all have those days where we must rest. Remember always listen to your body and let it guide you.

    A Long Journey

I still have those days where I still feel like the 22 sized woman I was. What helps me is to look at old photos of myself and you can really see the difference. It just so happens that I started a new job one week after surgery and of course we had to take our Id photo and it looks nothing like me now. I had one of those shopping sprees not to long ago and it really boosted my confidence and for the first time in years I felt sexy!

    Surgery Thursday ! Ahhhhhh!

It is a pain under your rib cage after you eat. It is the type of pain that makes you stop where you are and you can not love until it passes.

    Surgery Thursday ! Ahhhhhh!

I was back to work 4 days after my gallbladder was taken out 2 weeks ago. I feel much better now that it is gone. Now I am dealing with the chronic loose stools.
  19. That is tough. I think you are going to find it hard to find something on the cruise. I was sick to my stomach and could not keep anything down at 10 weeks. Make sure you have your doc give you plenty of anti nausea meds.

    Grrrrrrr

Are you still losing inches? I have found that even though my scale has not moved I have lost inches as clothes keep sliding off of me.

    Periods And Birth Control-Tmi

You could always do the nuva- ring. It is placed inside your vagina once a month. You or your partner can not tell it is there. The absorption is through your tissues.

    I Want A Pop

I have a few sips every once in a while. Depending on the day depends on how I felt. My surgeon said that there is no chance in stretching the pouch with having a few sips. I will get the glass bottles I coke an have those from time to time.
  24. I did go into a slight depression after my rny. You are right this is all a mental game. I did not realize until my second month how much of a mental game it really was. My weight gain has been due to medication. I have been on prednisone for 5 years for rheumatoid arthritis and it caused me to be hungry all the time. I did not consider myself a typical fat person using food for coping measures. However after the surgery I have realized how bad my eating habits were. I still struggle with the munchies and head hunger. The great thing about this procedure is that if you truly listen to your body it will guide you to healthier choices. Everyone goes through regret the first few months and the thought of what the hell did I do to myself, but after a few months that goes away. I am now able to eat anything I want just much smaller portions. Your relationship will change, but for the better and fitting into dress and feeling sexy is a much better feeling then the candy bar you are about to eat. I look at photos from before my surgery and I do not recognize the girl in the photos.
  25. So it was my gallbladder that has been causing the pain. I am hopeful this makes me feel better.
