As someone who recently got to face some bullies I will not lie it was GREAT. The best thing is that you don't need to say in your face to them - their shocked expression says it all. As for my sex life hubby and I were like newlyweds again and it was great. Shopping is fun again and I found out I love dresses.

Sounds normal, but if you are worried call you doc!

When was the weight loss noticeable?
music1618 replied to liane's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I felt the change in clothes fitting looser quickly, but you will not really "notice" it for several months. -
Well first off this is your body and before he operates you need to be sure what he is going to do. If you offend him or make him angry then he is not the surgeon for you. No doctor should ever feel offended when a patient asks for clarification on a procedure. Insist on speaking to him before surgery, and ask him to clarify the procedure and what he meant by his statement in the office. Please do not go through with this if you have any doubts.

7mos need help getting back on protein

Start logging your food. It is the best way to snap you back to reality. We can't change something that we don't acknowledge and food logging helps you do that. -
Did it live up everything in your mind? Did you heart flutter!!

Popcorn...

I have it all the time. Great little snack, but not a lot nutritional value -
I think that you should exercise as much as your body will allow. I would also suggest you take it slow. If you are doing two laps around your building right now add on one more lap and do 3 laps for a few days and then add on another one and so on. Then maybe try to pick up your pace. If it is taking you 5 min to walk one lap try for 4.5 min and so on. Pretty soon you will be close to running around the building. As for home stuff there is a challenge a friend of mine did which was challenging, but helped him tone up. It was called the 5/100 fitness challenge. You can look it up online. He did it at home and got a great work out. Again it is all about starting out slow and building your endurance up. Also look into bike riding or some other activity or sport you might enjoy. Hope that helps.

Yes it was manageable. The pain was really the rubbing of my pants on the incisions and that was fixed with better band aids. However I will say that I am an old pro with surgeries. The gastric bypass was my 11 surgery in my life and I am 33. This was easy compared to other surgeries for me - for example shoulder surgery I was out much longer due to pain. I say that because if this is your first surgery expect it to be a little harder on your body.

I started a new job one week post op. the first few weeks were all training class room things. I had soreness from where my incisions were.

How far post op are you?

Just remember to pace yourself - and warm up your muscles. Don't want to pull anything or throw out your back trying to do the Italian chandelier move! ????

Be careful and don't buy a lot of food for post surgery. Your taste buds will change and what taste good right now will make you nauseous at the thought of it post op. This is mainly true about your protein shakes. -
After surgery I did the gummies of everything excerpt b12. We no longer can absorb b12 and it must either be dissolved under tongue, shot or nasal spray. I now use new advantage vitamins. It is powdered form and has everything except b12 in it. I add it to my protein shake. It was made by a wls and designed for us.

My first time with my hubby was a lot like this. We planned a special time away. I had lost a bet with him and the prize was a massage - things took off from there. I would not suggest the glass of wine to settle your nerves as wine effects is differently now. Just let things develop naturally and remember the first is always a little awkward with someone new. My husband is only my second partner in my life so I understand the nerves.

I am really excited today. A year and half ago I was in a job that made me miserable. I gained lots of weight due to stress and got to my highest weight of 260. I finally realized I was at my lowest point and left the job in march of last year. In June of last year I had my surgery. As of this morning I have lost exactly 120 pounds! Well I am going back to that place today to help someone teach a class. I am wearing my size 2 jeans, (last time they saw me was size 22) my medium shirt, and The biggest smile I have ever had. Can't wait to see their faces!

Trust me it will be a great day for you. Go yet you a sexy red dress and good looking heels and you will turn heads! It felt great doing this. Although there were two people I wish had seen me today I realized I must not be ready to face then yet. However the gossip about my complete change will reach both of them. -

Could not have gone any better. I shocked people and no one knew who I was. It was so great seeing their shocked faces, and then hearing - wow you look great! I'm sure for the manager ( the woman who made my life hell) those words tasted like vinegar! Best of all the shelter cat who I shared an office with knew who I was and purred and cuddled with me. New people remarked they had never seen Chole act so sweet! -
I am a few states away, but 1 year post op if you need help.

Try valerian root. I warn you though it smells like dirty feet, but if you swallow it quickly it is ok. You can also find the non scented kind. Works a little better than melatonin. I have had insomnia for years and I rotate medication. Ambien, melatonin, and valerian root. They are on a mo they cycle and for the most part I sleep ok most nights.
