Husband Mr Big Mouth
Sparklette replied to elvislover's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You should be pissed at him, I would be furious, you specifically asked him not to tell anyone, and he did anyway. You shouldn't be embarrassed, it isn't their business, and if they can't support you for trying to save yourself then screw them. You are doing this for YOU, and that's the only opinion you need. -

And also, When I went and got weighted I now know that my scale at home is 100% unreliable. I'm 457 on the scale at the hospital, My scale at home was saying 520. so either I lost 70 lbs in a 5 minute car ride, or my scale is wrong, which was a really nice surprise. -
First Consultation

Okay so I just got home, My Doctor talked to my insurance company already, and everything is good, I just need to see the nut and the psych and I'll be ready for surgery! My insurance doesn't require six months pre op weigh in's which is FANTASTIC and my doctor said that if everything checks out then I can have surgery by mid August! I'm so freaking excited, and so happy. Also at the same time part of me is a little disappointed that I didn't have to wait 6 months, now it feels like it went from walking at a snails pace to that of a Jamaican Olympian, it feels real now, not some made up hope for the distant future. I did my blood work right after the consultation, and I have an EAG(?) on Thursday, and my dietitian on Friday. And now I'm just waiting on the Shrink appointment to be scheduled and then I'll be ready to take the pre op classes, and then It'll be surgery time! -

Things You Don't Have To Worry About When Your Not Fat
Sparklette replied to Monique5005's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I just thought of one, nurses searching for veins to draw blood, they can never find mine through the fat. I will be glad when that is less of a problem. -

I love this site, because that's what I've been doing, I'f I'm hungry, I come here and look at everyone else's success, or progress, or talk to people who are having the same issues and I feel so much better. -
First Consultation
Sparklette replied to Sparklette's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My consult is tomorrow, I'm so excited. Thank you for all the tips. I will ask all the questions ever! ;D I don't know what's going to happen, they gave me all the patent info papers at the siminar, I filled that out last week, so I don't know what's going to happen. I think they will take my bmi and tell me what I need to do to start my journey. I'm worried that they will put me on a 6 month diet, I don't want to have to wait six months. I just want to get it over with so I can start my new life. -
Over Thinking
Sparklette replied to 87deondessiree7's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm the same way, my boyfriend is getting tired of me going on and on about what I'm going to do after, or how this is going to change, or oh my god look at that dress, I can't wait to be able to wear something like that. It's what's been going on in my head since I found out that our insurance covered it. It's been like an rny-a-thon in my head. I'm terrified of the day that I stop obsessing over it. I'm just so excited. I started writing everything that I had been thinking about the surgery, and I've filled up a 70 page spiral in a week, and there is still more. I just can't wait until I can stop daydreaming about it and go out and live it. -
Things You Don't Have To Worry About When Your Not Fat
Sparklette replied to Monique5005's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I love the list, My boyfriend's father is the same way, when he talked to him about us getting engaged, his father was like,"that heifer can't have kids! Why would you want to be with something like that for the rest of your life, you can do so much better than that cow." If my mother hadn't raised me right I would have smacked the man, HELLO! I WAS SITTING IN THE NEXT ROOM! We're going to be taking ballroom dance lessons after I'm a loser I can't wait. And then we will be able to show off our new moves at our wedding that I'll look fabulous at, I would love to marry him sooner, but I don't want to regret my wedding pictures like I do my graduation pictures. I don't want to worry about dying before my parents, I don't want them to have that heart break. I don't want to worry about being able to get pregnant. I don't want to worry about fitting in to cars, or planes or whatever. I don't want to worry about chairs breaking under me I don't want to worry about finding clothes that will fit. I don't want to worry about dying before I'm 30. I know losing weight won't fix all of my problems, but It will give me more time to try. -
My dr said grapes are fine, just not the skins.

Wish List Or What You Look Forward To

The beach Dressing up and looking good. Dates with my boyfriend without people staring Movies and being comfortable in the theater Not burning up all the time Engagement ring shopping Not adjusting my clothes all the time Finding cute and comfortable bras Shopping!!!!!!!!! Being normal and no longer being the "self esteem boosting comparison" fat friend Amusement parks! Skydiving Playing paintball with my friends instead of watching from the side lines I have written like three pages on this topic and I am finding more things every day -
My shop does that too, but at a half inch it is hard not to notice someone with large lobes. Lol And my ears are back to normal anyhow, I home my tummy is as fortunate.

I am also concerned on how they are going to turn out after everything
