Sparklette replied to MrsLulu's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know what you mean, I live in Texas and yesterday it was 98. I was walking and I felt super dehydrated and just wanted to chug a glass of water. -
I just put on my work pants because I'm out of laundry and they are LOOSE! My first NSV. And I slept on my side last night! Today is a good day!

I was told a year. And only in very small amounts.

Have you been taking your vitamins?

Giving up is out of the question! Try adjusting your Protein to get more in, or up your exercise to compensate. But you need to keep your head up!

Always remember that! No matter what we are all worth it. That's why we are doing this right? Because we know that someone needs us, that there is something better for us, that we deserve more than what we have?

Exactly! Jesus sometimes explaining these feelings is trying to get a blind man to imagine color! Lol.

Exactly! I haven't had any internal discomfort! Just the incisions. I'm 7 days out. I do get a slight full feeling, but it quickly fades, I don't get hungry, I just get not full. Lol. Its really hard to explain.

I was craving tuna yesterday, I don't like tuna! I'm terrified of cheating! But I can't wait till the 9th. My family made burgers this week and I was so tempted to just nibble a little bit of meat. But I didn't.

We had the same surgery date I think. I'm 6 days out also. I have pain at one incision, and It's not so much pain as tightness now. Just keep taking your meds, Walk, even when uncomfortable, and I actually put an ice pack wrapped in a towel on the incision and it helped a little, Then I put a heating pad, and it really helped loosen up the muscles. Start slowly starting to stretch reach your arms over you head, Try to contract your abdominal muscles when you're laying down.

I would stick to RNY, there is more research, and a longer history of long term success.

I hope it helps!

I found it at Half Priced books. But I think it's on amazon.

Check out Weight loss Surgery cookbook for dummies, (I'm not calling you a dummy by the way, lol) There are a bunch of great recipes in there that you could possibly use in your mixer.

I'm good. I've reduced my pain meds to night time only, I'm still having trouble getting my fluids and Protein in, but I have a new plan that I'm trying today! I'm still a little sore in one incision. but I have hope that it will get with the program soon. I haven't had any nausea, which is a godsend. I've been walking twice a day. According to my surgeon I'm having the "dream recovery".
