hot and humid here in Jacksonville, FL too. I am sorry to hear that you are feeling down. My surgery is Monday and I am looking forward to it and dreading it at the same time. My doctor says it is totally normal. Our body issues didn't start with the weight (at least mine didn't). Most of us let our happiness be dictated by our expectation of perfection....I am sure you look beautiful to those that matter and the rest, oh well. Your pic is beautiful and hang in there!

OMG! Southern Fried Chicken I already miss it!

I went today for my final visit before surgery. I am indeed nervous, nervous! Talked a little to my doctor about it today and he said it is perfectly normal, so I am just trying to breathe!

Oh My Goodness! Don't get me started on the things I have been told over the last year. I have been on a supervised program for almost a year and surgery is right around the corner. Everybody is an expert, especially the ones who have been thin all their lives! So many have reminded me that people DIE having this surgery! Excuse me, but do you think I am an idiot? I didn't just put my name on a piece of paper, fold it up and put it in a box! I have researched this idea 9 ways till Sunday. I now enjoy replying, "Yes, I am aware of the risk, but I am also aware that my risk of dying from my diabetes, elevated Cholesterol, high blood pressure and sleep apnea are far greater than the risks associated with surgery! Hi Jeanetteramirez2! My preop with Dr. Sharma was really quick. Basically, they weighed me, the nurse came in and went over my medicines, and Dr Sharma came in and spent about five minutes looking over my chart. Then he told me to lose more weight and that was about it! I go Thursday for my final visit before Surgery on Monday. When are you scheduled?

lotstolose... I am having surgery on the same day! I too am a nervous wreck plus this 2 week liquid diet is killing me! I keep thinking if this part is so hard, how will I do the rest?
