  1. Happy 53rd Birthday timpren!

  2. 4 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 4th Anniversary timpren!

  3. I think that munchies would be at least an "issue" although your ability to indulge those cravings will certainly be limited according to the "fill level" of your band. At least that was my experience. I waited 7 weeks before lighting up the ole" bong...three hours later....MUNCHIES!!!!!!!!!! No ability to stuff my face though...the band wouldn't allow it! Wait a while before you try it...get used to your life and the issues you have with the band in place... it's a new day...and a good one!

    Surgery scheduled for 7/12

Linda, Don't worry! You'll do great! Just take this very seriously, follow the recommendations of your doctors and most importantly...get moving by walking/hiking as soon as you are cleared to by your doctor. Get a pedometer and start a daily journal to count your steps/miles/calories burned/and time spent exercising. The physical activity will help get you to your goals much faster than if you just rely on a restricted diet. My surgery was April 26th and I have lost 40 lbs. My pre-op weight was 240lbs. I had severe obstructive sleep apnea and high blood pressure as well as asthma. ALL RESOLVED since losing the weight!!!! Good luck, hang in there, and remember to think about nutrition.Remember... you eat to live...not live to eat!
