Detox - oh how the mighty have fallen
Lebim replied to Lebim's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ever since I allowed some sugar in my diet during Christmas I've struggled with craving sugar again and working at whole foods has given me a lot of opportunities to sample the wrong things. Thanks for the support :] - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012 -
Anyone using these? Apparently they're super good for you and promote weight loss and give you tons of energy naturally. You can add them to any meal because they're so tiny and tasteless. I realized 4 hours after eating them I was exhausted and perked right up after another scoop. They're pretty awesome if you ask me - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012

Nope no difference at all. Just ascetics - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012

I eat them all the time with no issue. They're sort of a heavy food for me though. I've heard people are one way or the other with eggs, like how it's a 50/50 shot that you'll be lactose intolerant after - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012

My surgeon actually highly suggests it. I don't even do turkey Jerky, I do beef. The sodium is really high though - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012

That is way too much. Keep it under 2 oz. potatoes are starch, my surgeon personally doesn't allow them - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012

We forget our surgery can be an inspiration
Lebim posted a topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Though we often get negative reaction about the route we chose to take towards a healthy long life...more often than not we forget about the positive impacts our life choices can make on others. My story is about my grandfather, a 71 year old man with an ABUNDANCE of health problems stemming from major injuries while in the Air Force accompanied by a number of co-morbidities like sleep apnea and joint pain just to name a few - who has decided to go full force to achieve gastric bypass surgery because he is so impressed with my success 8 months out. This blew my mind! I am SO happy for him and enthusiastic about helping him through every step of getting and being successful with his new life and body. I am also in awe of his bravery. Just goes to show that you're never too old or sick to change your life and health forever! I will most likely be posting his story if anyone is interested. I'm just SO SO proud! Currently he is waiting to get his psych eval, a gal bladder ultra sound and more meetings with his nutritionist. Seems like only yesterday I was doing the same things. - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012 -

I'm going to make this the least raunchy as I can and to anyone I offend I'm really sorry I'm only sharing this because I really wish someone would have given me a heads up. This is so embarrassing. Ok so last night I was with my boyfriend and we were "together" and something inside of him went inside of me (digestion tract). I'm pretty sure you guys understand what I'm referring to. Then all of a sudden I got very dizzy and nauseous and eventually fell asleep and woke up to the most horrendous bowel movements of my entire life. I couldn't understand what happened and then it occured to me to look up the nutrition facts of what he naturally produces and it turns out there are 15g/tbs of sugar (fructose) in it!! I dumped off it! No one told me this and I got so incredibly sick and ugh. Has this happened to any other ladies in the house or our homosexual brethren? So so so embarrassing :[ - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary: 6/11/12

Remember before surgery - when someone would snap a picture of you and when you saw it you'd think "oh my god am I really THAT big? It can't be." ? How you always looked bigger is photos than you thought you did in real life? [which we all know now unfortunately was not the case] Well the same thing happens to me now but the opposite. I'm constantly thinking I need to lose more and I'm still a pudge but sometimes people or even I will take photos of me and I don't recognize the girl on the photo. As per example, I NEVER thought my arms were thin and would ya look at this picture I took yesterday: Finally starting to love myself and the results of this surgery! 8 months out and will never turn back - Kaylee Ann ~ Surgerversary 6/11/2012
