I know we are not supposed to have bread but I was wondering if there are any exceptions for tortillas? I miss having wraps or fajitas :/ ...... Also wanted some thoughts on watermelon ..... Some people yay and some nay ..... I would love a piece especially in this hot summer

I actually had pineapple yesterday and did good ..... Weird thing with eggs I dumped with egg whites but did good with hard boiled egg

Had my surgery July 9th

I'm on my soft foods phase ..... My nutritionist said toast and crackers are ok ..... I actually tried today some wheat crackers they went down really well was scared at first but very happy with the way my body reacted to them

My incision sight is really itchy any advice

Yea I have my week check up on Tuesday

I'm 5 days post op and a few months from now I plan on getting on my collar bone "imperfection is beauty" I already have two one on my ankle n one on my wrist

Hey guys had my surgery this passed Monday ..... Was actually discharged a day early from the hospital guess its a good thing .... Still a tad bit sore besides that I'm feeling pretty good ...the smell of certain foods around make me feel nauseous .... Hardest part so far I have to say is getting down these horrible vitamins

I Am scheduled for gastric by pass surgery July 9th ..... I have not heard back from my insurance company as far as approval ..... I do know that they cover bariatric surgery.... Does anyone if there is a better chance of me being approved since they do cover this type of surgery ..... Really nervous

Just thought I'd update you girls.... My surgery was approved today ..... Went in and got my consent forms all signed and ready to go ...... Official surgery date is July 9

Wow thank god I took your advice and called .... Come to find out no paperwork on behalf of my surgeons office has been submitted .... I call my surgeon and the girl tells me the insurance coordinator who was working on my case is no longer with them ..... This has me even more nervous and unhappy .... Has me thinking what if it isn't approved on time

Yea I think I will do that ..... Because I was given my "attentive" surgery date June 5th its been two weeks already and I haven't heard back yet.

I haven't heard from them regarding the approval.... I do have an appointment tomorrow for what they call the rehearsal dinner they want to explain one last time the process to myself n a family member

Hello ladies and gents.... My name is Jasmine I'm 22 turning 23 July 3rd. I am scheduled for the gastric by pass July 9th my current weight is 259 I've lost 3lbs my surgeon requested I lose 10 lbs before surgery..... I actually came across this forum while googling ways to prep myself for surgery. Its very comforting to read so many stories from people who are going/have gone through this same process. Although I have a some what good support system at home I look forward to making new friends on here and sharing my journey with everyone. My mother had Gastric by pass surgery 9 years ago and is my main source of a support system. What opened my eyes mainly to want to lead a healthier life was the very unfortunate passing of my father last year..... He passed away from heart disease. In my family there is a long history of heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes. I honestly do not want to go down those paths. I look forward to chatting with you and hearing your stories and hopefully getting some nerve rocking questions answered.
