    Stomach exercises?

    My trainer has me doing planks to help with the core. They definitely target the abs! Plus we do sit ups while tossing the medicine ball back and forth, those are a workout!
  4. I would wait until after surgery and closer to goal weight. My arms were chunky, I wouldn't say disproportionate to the rest of me, so now at 4 months out, 62lbs gone, my arms are definitely different. Batwings big time! I strength train 3x a week and cardio 3xs a week, and though they are changing in the positive I still wouldn't want to "waste" good ink on a changing body part. But that's my opinion. I have 3 tattoos and plan to get more ink as soon as I hit goal. Good luck whatever you choose! :-)

    HW 234 DOS 11-15-12 CW 177.6 Only lost .6lbs this week, but hoping I lost inches, since I have been weight training pretty hard the last few weeks. :-)

    HW 234 DOS 11-15-12 CW 178 57lbs gone. A little disappointed to only see 1lb loss this week, hopefully its because I'm building muscle. I have been strength training hard for the last week.

    HAHAHAHAHA oh dear God I am right there with ya! My arms keep waving long after I've stopped LOL I don't know the right answer, but assure you I am trying every machine and exercise I can to get rid of them! LOL

    What Exercise Did You Do Today?

    I feel like JELLOoooooooooo everything hurts! LOL I started a new free weight routine, doing squats, lunges, push ups, etc. and oh dear God I hurrrrrrrtttttt! But it feels good, if that makes sense. I enjoy pushing the limits on my workouts. I got complacent and was barely breaking a sweat, but now I am sweating so much I have to bring a towel with me! LOL

    What Exercise Did You Do Today?

    My trainer had me using free weights yesterday, doing squats and lunges.....yeah in the words of Bill Cosby...JELL-O!!! Oh dear God I hurt everywhere today, but it feels goooooooood! I am actually looking forward to doing it again. Thanks to a tremendously busy schedule today and tomorrow, I will not be able to get back to the gym until Saturday.

    What Exercise Did You Do Today?

    I'm chicken to start running! LOL Afraid to hear my butt cheeks flapping in the wind. LOL I am 1.4lbs away from 50lbs gone. Friday will be my 3 month mark, and I should be down that pound by then. Honestly, when they say your brain can't keep up with your weight loss, it's true. I acknowledge the scale says 50lbs, and that to a degree, I can see some changes in my body, but I don't really feel any different then I did 50lbs ago. My husband seems to think that because I am home all day with the kids, minus going to the gym, and I don't see anyone but him and the girls, that maybe outside acknowledgement would help. So this friday I agreed to go to a friendly get together of people I used to work with. Hopefully that helps the self esteem LOL

    What Exercise Did You Do Today?

    I have been a gym rat! Mon, wed, fri are my strength training days, so after I have finished the weights, I do 30m of cardio. Then tue, thu, sat, I do 90m of cardio, usually 30m on elliptical, 30m treadmill on hill intervals, then 30m just walking the track. This week, though, has been strange. I went mon and after my weights, did 90m of cardio. Then normal tues. Wed I went to the gym twice! Once in the morning like I normally do, did my wed schedule. Then when girls got out of school, I went back for another 75m of cardio. And today, normal weight day, but did 90m of cardio. Sunday will be Zumba class. I have not become obsessed with the gym, like a cross addiction thing, I just really enjoy the time without kids, and time spent jamming out to my music! *I'm a stay at home mom, so when the gym offers 90m of kid watch while you workout, that time is like gold! LOL

    HW 234 DOS 11-15-12 SW 234 CW 186.6 Now, my scale said 188 on wednesday, and today it says 186.6. I'm logging 186.6 because it's friday, but am doubting the number. Guess I still cannot believe the scale is going down rather than up! This would mean that I am only 2.6lbs away from a 50lb loss! My 3 month check up is on the 22nd, I would love to see my surgeon with 50 less pounds!

  24. Surgery was on Thursday, was able to come home Friday, but because I live 3 hours from the surgeon/hospital, Dr chose to keep me 1 extra day, just to be sure. So I was home by noon Saturday
