I, too, am glad to hear this is normal! I hit 4 weeks out yesterday and almost as if a light switch was hit, I woke up exhausted and unable to get ANYTHING in. Despite doing well with protein, water, and vitamins. I'm focusing extra hard today on my liquids. If I can at least keep up with them, I pray to not fall into dehydration.

I have no answers I'm sorry. I would watch ur babies so u could go to the hospital, in a heart beat. Please try the liquids at least, dehydration will keep u from being able to keep anything in ur stomach, thus causing a vicious cycle. (((Hugs))) to u and ur family to feel better soon. -
I will be 4 weeks out tomorrow. Went on Monday to start my membership at the YMCA, and was told if I wait until Dec 26th, they will be running a special where it will be $15 cheaper a month and the initiation fee will be waived. So, guess what? Mama's saving some dough! LOL it's only 2 weeks, and it's not like running up and down the stairs chasing my 22m old doesn't burn calories! I won't lie, the main reason I am looking forward to working out......the 90m allotment of kid-watch they offer while you work out! LOL I am a stay at home mom, and dear God! I need time away from these kids! Getting my MP3 player stocked up with all my newest music, to be able to hit the eliptical and jam during a workout! *When I say running the stairs, I really mean running the stairs. If I am upstairs doing something, like putting away laundry, she will run downstairs. Seems benign right? No. She gets into the refrigerator and pulls everything out. So I put a lock on the doors. Problem solved. Yeah, no. Now she opens the oven door, climbs up it to the counter and massacres my bread. So I must catch her before she does it. If I'm downstairs, doing dishes, she runs upstairs and gets into the upstairs bathroom and turns on all the water faucets or plays in the toilet. Now I know what you're thinking, get a gate. I have 3! She bulldozes them down like they're not even there!!! LOL So, needless to say, I am constantly running the stairs for exercise! LOL

I have taken small bites of a peanut butter cookie, and a small bit of brownie, did not get dumping. I'm actually ok with not dumping. Sugar and sweets were never my downfall, I am a portion hog. I cannot just eat a normal serving size of anything, I have to eat an army's worth, so the restriction is the part that I love. I only even took bites of those because the kids and I were making Christmas cookies and goodies for my annual Christmas party.

I went today to set up my gym membership and the lady told me to come back Dec 26th, they're having a membership sale, $15 cheaper a month fees and no initiation fee! Woohoo! It's so worth it to save the money, considering its only 2 weeks away, I'm only 3 weeks out from surgery.

We waited 2 1/2 weeks. Libido is not in full force, but the 22lbs of fat gone is definitely noticeable when ur tangled up. There's less to get in the way :-)

I think it's important to note....Change of taste and sleeping patterns are known side effects of anesthesia. I have several several friends and family who, after being administered general anesthesia, developed insomnia requiring abien or other sleep aids, as well as certain once loved foods no longer tasting well. I would say that if it had just been 1 person saying this to me, I would have considered them a whiner and dismissed it, sorry I'm blunt, but with so many reiterating the same story, it must hold truth. A few of them have said the symptoms have resolved and they are able to sleep and eat "normally" again, however a few still deal with it, after 1+ years. Just thought I should share. -

Clothing Size Wishes
ladyspl replied to michelecaples's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I started at 18/20 pants and xl-2x tops. I want to see 4/6 pants and medium to small shirts. I don't know how realistic those numbers really are. I was 8 and medium in high school, but sizing has changed. Also, three kids later, my hips are not the tiny hips of the prekid years. Then again, my gift to myself, well more to my husband LOL, after this is all said and done and I can actually get off 120lbs, mama's getting fake boobies! I'm down 20lbs so far, so only 100 to go! LOL D cups are going to be the only reason I ever want to wear xl shirts again LOL -
I was just like you! I was upset and decided to just screw it, I'm eating that bread stick.....yeah, that 4in breadstick made me want to die! Not dumping, just so full it hurt. BUT I think it was just what I needed, because almost like magic, the next day I made scrambled eggs for breakfast. Put my portion in the 1/2 C container and after 2 bites, dear lord I was dying again! I wouldn't advocate anyone putting themselves in pain, but if you are loosing weight, staying hydrated, and getting in your Protein, then rock on! We are all different! I read peoples stories about vomiting and being unable to keep down Water, I feel terrible for those folks, since I came home from the hospital being able to almost chug water, at least drink normally.

Not to sound cliche' but, I truly do believe things happen for a reason. We don't always know the reason immediately, and sometimes it takes awhile to understand the reason. We are all here to support and encourage you, just like you have supported and encouraged us thru this process. Best of wishes and fingers crossed for happy news! (((HUGS))) -

OMG!!!! I really thought something was wrong with me! My hair is super super greasy too!!! I actually used dawn dish soap the other day to get an edge on it!!!! I was beginning to think I wouldn't be able to continue growing it out to donate it. I am only 4 inches away from the 12inch minimum and didnt want to cut it if I didnt have too. So glad Im not the only one!
