  1. I had them at roughly 2-3 weeks and they tasted great to me. My hubby took me to a local mexican restaurant and I ordered those with cheese on top.....yummmmmmmmmm

    Women and Hormones...

For the first month after surgery, my hair was greasy, face was broken out, and I had the God-awfulist gas on the planet. But then it cleared up. Now as far as depression, I have battled that for years now, and honestly do not see an increase nor decrease in that since the surgery.

    Coffee Drinkers

I have been having a cup every morning for the last 2 weeks, strange, because it's normally maybe twice a week, anywho...I have just been using regular coffeemate with no issues and a sweet-n-low packet, yummmmmmm! but I have SF peppermint mocha coffeemate liquid and that is (angels singing) Heaven!!!!!

    HOLY COW! WEIGHTLOSS!

Hey, when else can we eat like that and see the scale go down?! Enjoy it! LOL
  5. my RNY was 11-15, so 11 weeks ago, and yeah, I can go all day and not think once of food, so I put a reminder on my phone for every 2 hours. That just irritated me. So I found if I make sure to force myself to eat breakfast with my girls, then i am hungry come lunch and then by dinner, I am ready again to eat.

    Eggs

I tried scrambled at 2 weeks and after one bite I was sick. So I waited. I tried again at 4 weeks, still sick. Fastforward to week 8 and am good with them, but I have actually changed tastes and prefer sunnyside up now, when I loved scrambled before. They were my almost every day breakfast LOL

What Exercise Did You Do Today?

Have to start every workout with Pink-Fucking Perfect, if you have not heard this song, I suggest you google it immediately. It's something we all must remind ourselves of, daily. Then I go into California Girls from Katy Perry, Circus from Brittney Spears, Maroon 5 - One more night, Katy Perry - E.T., Brittney Spears - 3, but I throw in songs like Catch my Breath from Kelly Clarkson, Telephone by Lady Gaga, Blown Away from Carrie Underwood, Before he Cheats from Carrie Underwood. These are just songs that make me want to dance, but any song that makes you want to dance when you hear it, is perfect! High step march, side slide, low knee bends, exaggerated hip swish, twist (just turn at the hips from side to side), wide hand claps, 2 steps forward 1 step back, and the only way I can describe it is like a salsa hip rotation. These are just some of the ways I "dance" while maintaining a "walk" LOL

    Friday Weigh-In!

HW was SW 234 on 11-15-12 CW 191 Total of 43lbs
  12. For my height, ideal weight is 109-119, at my smallest in high school I was 124. Since then I have added 18 years and 3 kids, so I don't see myself really attaining goal of 109-119, I did set my goal at 125, but expect to be closer to 135. It's always good to set goals a littler higher (well, lower in this case! LOL) that way you maintain focus and don't become complacent. :-) Good Luck!

    I've reached my goal!

    woohoo!!!!!!!!!!
  14. I'm still freshly into this, at 9 weeks post op. I have lost 40lbs, from 234 to 194. I was blessed not to have any medical issues prior to surgery, just being obese. So when I noticed that now I can bend over to tie my shoes and not get a head rush, that was great. To then be able to see the hoo-ha, another great moment, I missed her! LOL Sitting down and being able to cross my legs like a woman, instead of only at the ankles, huge bonus! I can only imagine how great it will be when I lose another 70lbs! I have not officially gone clothes shopping, as I have a large closet full of clothes over the years that I "grew out of", so I have been rocking some jeans and slacks I haven't seen in 8 years! Oh and I got on the treadmill the other day and instead of my heart rate bouncing around the 170 mark, it was at a very nice 130 mark, so my heart is not stressing itself to power this fat ass anymore!
  15. My surgery was on a thursday, came home saturday (was ready to go home friday, but because I lived 3 hours from surgeon, he chose to keep me an extra day). Monday I was picking up my, then 20 month old, baby and by Wednesday was driving my other 2 girls to school. I didn't bring laundry baskets up from the basement for another 10 days, but that was mostly because I was milking it for as much help from the hubby as I could get! LOL I think you'll be fine if you can get them to schedule on a friday, my surgeon did monday, wednesday or thursday surgeries. Good Luck!

    I have a question

My surgery was November 15th, I am a stay at home mom to 3 girls, 6, 4, and at the time 20 months. I was picking the baby up by day 4 and driving by day 5 post op. So you may not be out of commission for a month. I believe most of it, minus the blood work is good for a year, but that would be a question your surgeon and or insurance customer service rep can answer. Hope hubby's surgery goes well!

  18. I am a huge bargain hunter, and sometimes that means thrift stores, mostly means yard sales (seriously, I have 3 girls with a walk in closet of clothes, I'm poor, I can't afford Justice brand new) LOL That being said, when I buy the stuff, it goes into a big garbage bag in the back of my truck, from there, right into the hot washer! I dont mess around with critters! Even still, unfortunately, bed bugs can be found at Macys, in a theater, or just standing next to someone in line at the grocery store. Key is being aware. Make sure you change sheets often, and vacuum mattresses, and at the first sign, clean until you cant clean anymore, then start over and clean again!

    Boobies!

I started out at 40C and am wasting the cup on these :-( BUT!!!! I am in the works of interviewing surgeons to get my FAKE BOOBIES!!! Cannot wait!!! Thinking I want DD's, but don't want to look like a freak, just want them to look great! Funny thing too, my husband, this past weekend, filed out a CareCredit application with my info, and it was approved, so I could essentially go today to get them! LOL I plan to wait until I hit goal weight, which, at the rate I'm going, should be around May! BOOBIES BOOBIES BOOBIES BOOBIES!!! LOL! Sorry, I'm a dork!

    jerky!

I have always loved jerky! My hubby will bring some home for me from time to time now, and I can only eat a bite or two, then stop. When I go back for them, they're gone! LOL

    No Diet! =D

My insurance did not require a diet either, they only required a Center of Excellence. The Center of Excellence was the ones who required a 6 month PCP monitored 800-1200 calorie diet.

    Friday Weigh-In!

HW 234 DOS 11-15-12 CW 196.8 Total of 37.2lbs gone in 8 weeks. This week was a bad week for me. I did not make any protein or water goals on any day. I barely got in 500 calories, and those were mostly just from the milk I drink my pills with. I did not even hit the gym. My bff and I broke up, and I had to put one of my dogs to sleep. So pretty much been lying around in my pj's crying all week. I am determined to get back to my routine, and I will absolutely start fresh on Monday. I will survive. I just needed some down time.
