Good job ladybug! My surgery wad the 10th, i came back to office after 2 weeks.which was probably to soon for me.they had to repair a ruptured hiatal hernia while they were in there. So i am still in a lot of pain in my belly button area. Bless those of you who are able to eat every 2 hours, i am doing good to easy twice a day....i want so badly to find my silver lining already, but have not got there yet. Day of surgery 236, today 213...= -23 lb.in 3 weeks, but i just wish i felt better to truly appreciate it....

Has anyone found out what is causing that severed nerve pain to the left of the belly button? I am becoming depressed crying all of the time due to the pain and not knowing what to do.emergency room says they find nothing wrong, yet i can't sit, stand, walk or lay down. What did i do to myself????

Oh my gosh!! I was about to mention the same thing about burning poking pain on the left side of my belly button... The left side (rib) pain has subsided with more water intake, but it has been replaced (just yesterday) with this poking, stinging pain just under the skin at my belly button (left side)..pressure helps, but omg!! If i breathe to deep or bend over!!ugh!! What is this about??? Anyone??

First day back to work today. It was too soon... The ripping pain in my left side is still there, thank goodness for the belly wrap that my husband bought me at walmart. I was in the ER this past Friday for the pains that won't go away in my side. They did a CT and sent me away saying "we dont know why you are in such pain" apparently no infection or obvious issues. It is so frustrating not knowing why i hurt so bad..

Ok guys.... 9 days post op, all is well EXCEPT-this terrible ripping/stabbing pain on my left side. My tummy doesn't hurt.Gas isn't giving me troubles. Only this pain from the inside incisions. Doc says that is normal and it will take about 3 weeks to heal completely. So, heating pad, lortab elixir, and trash tv for the rest of the week.was hoping to be back to work tomorrow.oh well

Had surgery Monday, still very sore. They found that i had a hiatal hernia that was about to rupture, so they fixed it while they were in there. Blessing for timing! Gas pains are come and go, pooped for the first time today, yay? Lol... Staples are very painful, other than that, i am going to be ok.

2 days post op... First day pretty painful 2nd not as bad. I was told that during my surgery Monday Dr.Hodges found that i had a hiatal hernia that was about to rupture. I had no idea. So it was a blessing my surgery was scheduled when it was. They repaired it and it is all good. I am sore now bit nothing that isnt manageable. Started my monthly on the 9th,surgery bloat from the 10th, so i have actually gained 3 pounds (up from 228 last wiegh in). So when swelling goes down,i am hoping that my body starts doing what it needs too. I am so excited for all of us. This has been a whirlwind of a week. Hugs to all. I appreciate this forum to get the support we all need.

So my surgery is monday morning at 9am. I am excited but very hungry. I have been on liquified pureed food all week and doing clear liquid for 2 days before. So broth and popsicles...applesauce to curb the need for texture. I have been cleaning like crazy today getting my house clean enough to survive my down time. With six kiddos, it can never be to clean. I cleaned out my closet and dressers. I am ready for the new change but very nervous... I am ready to sign over my paycheck for just one bite of a Bologna sandwich.. Just one more day!!

Surgery Monday af 930am...very nervous about if i did my week long liquid diet correctly..... Everything i ate was (with the help of my "Ninja", was smooth and watery like instant potatoes) broth and protein shakes.. No solids or soda at all... But just to be on the safe side, i am doing clear liquids Saturday and Sunday.. Excited and nervous, i am so happy that my husband and kiddos are so supportive..

    An Unexpected Blow

Thanks! I needed that!!! I didn't really mean"like a normal person" i guess...i meant more like, my Ninja being put away and enjoying the chewing of food again..lol in small portions, of course.... I am having this done for my health and for my family, we are raising six great kids and i want to be around a long time to see them grow up and watch them raise my grand babies one day..
