Someone said to me that she couldn't believe I was having the surgery because its extremely dangerous. She is an RN and also very overweight so I figured she was either jealous or very uneducated about gastric bypass surgery -

Hi everyone !! My surgery was November 13 th and I have lost 22 pounds. Starting weight was 263 current weight 241. -
I am almost 3 weeks post op and thought I'd try some oatmeal........ About two hours later I had terrible diarrhea ..... I don't seems to get nauseous much.

Hi vbgirl !! I had my bypass done. At Evangelical Hospital in Lewisburg PA !!!! -
I had open gastric bypass on November 13. I am still on liquids and don't advance to soft purée till next week.

I guess I just felt that I needed something a little more filling than liquids..... It wasn't a good choice to make I suppose .

My surgery was Nov 13. Surgery weight was 263 . Today's weight is 248. So 15 pounds in 10 days is pretty good !!!! I am happy !!! -

I too was tested and positive for HPylori. My boss is a pharmacist and I spoke to him about it and the medications. He said testing positive was a good thing , that way you can be treated for the bacteria (H pylori) which is the bacterial that causes ulcers. So, in short, we will be treated for the bacteria and never have to worry about ulcers !!! YEAH !!

Well I had first nut consult on june7 and have only managed to lose7 pounds in the last 3 weeks.... It's difficult!!! Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated!

I HAD MY INITIAL CONSULT WITH THE SURGEON AND MY FIRST NUTRITIONAL CONSULT AND AM LOOKING FORWARD TO TALKING TO PEOLE ON HERE ABOUT THERE SUCCESSES . I HOPE TO LEARN ALOT ABOUT WHAT EVERYONE ELSE IS EXPERIENCING ON THEIR JOURNEYS. I AM HOPEING FOR A SURGURY DATE BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR !!
