they would have taken me to the local hospital which i would not send my dog to the bariatric hospital is 30 mins away i felt fine when i came to didn't even want them to come but wife and sister insisted at least let them check me plus $150 copay and a $2000 deductible on my insurance and would have been sent home anyway i would rather wait and call PCP monday i know my bloodwork was good as of friday i had my 6mos postop appt -
MFP is not for bariatric patients per say the calorie intake is way off i dont think anyone in the first yr eats that many calories i am 6 mos out and still dont get 64 oz of fluid a day probably about 40-50 on average. MFP is a good way for you to track your personal progress but the goals on there are unrealistic for us

Really! How bad is the PAIN?
Shrinking Don replied to ElleG's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
to be honest for me it was more discomfort then pain they gave me liquid perks for pain i used it a couple times at night for the first week just so i knew i could get a good nights sleep without discomfort after that never used it again still have 3/4 of the bottle left from it I had less pain with this then when i had my galbladder out a couple yrs ago -

Ok so here goes I had RNY on 8/22/12 first month an be a little tough as u get used to not eating solid foods I had very little pain except from gas walking helps with that. I have no regrets at all and would do it all over again if I had to I had diabetes high blood pressure and cholesterol and plenty of mess now I just take vitamins as all the other stuff went away along with 107 lbs of fat since surgery and 137 total and I had no complications hope this helps good luck with your journey -
WOW stepped on the scale this morning to see the numbers 164 if i take that with my height shows my bmi at 24.2 in the normal range no longer overweight i may be a guy but i'm about to cry never in a million yrs did i ever think i would be normal weight wise. In one week i will be 6 mos out had rny on 8/22/12 one thing i notice is a lot of bmi calculators are slightly off from each other but they all put me under 25

New Bedford,Ma had RNY on 8/22/12 down 105 lbs since surgery and 136 total surgery was at Tobey Hospital in Wareham,Ma with Dr Colachio and southcoast bariatric team no regrets here at all -
Yes it will work what happens if you don't wait 30 before and after it just pushes the food thru the pouch making you feel hungry which will lead to eating more it really is important and you should do that forever hope this helps

Need some opinions on handling an upcoming party.
Shrinking Don replied to lovealways's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would def stay away from anything fried or breaded and its processed chicken if its the kind I'm thinking of that's the stuff you must avoid so I agree bring something you know you can eat from home chili is good and a good source of protein so maybe make a pot of it and bring to the party -
It will be here before you know it and you will be on the new journey to the new you
