Post Op 2 Months Constipation With Red Nlood
dadsangel posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi all. In a little concerned. Yesterday and today I've had bouts of constipation and both times when I finally passed a rather dry and medium bulky stool, there have been some clots of red, mucousy blood. Both times I've had to really push hard for almost an hour to pass the stool. Is this moal or should I be concerned? -

Not A Single Pound Lost

Thanks everyone. I will call my surgeons office and see what they say. Very frustrating but I'm sure a lot of it is being impatient too. I appreciate all of your feedback. Cheers to all! -

Question?? I am three weeks post op. I had my Rny surgery and about 2 hours after my surgery they gave me 2 bags of plasma. They said I was very pale and my lips were very white when I came out of surgery. My question is this..... Did anyone else have this happen to them or was it something wrong with me? Blood clotting problems, etc. I had my surgery done in Ontario. I'm a little scared that maybe something is wrong with my blood and it doesn't clot properly. I know it's too late now but I'm also concerned of the safety of the blood that I was given. Any advice? Thanks everyone!

Is anyone having the same problems I'm having. I've tried every sweetener I can think of and the horrible after taste makes me sick to my stomach. I can't get the taste out of my mouth no matter what!!! Some things I just need to be sweetened for example decaf coffee or oatmeal. Without any sweetness I can not swallow the food. It's so bland it makes me gag. I'm at my wits end. I am on my third week post op and because of this horrible sweet aftertaste I'm finding it hard to eat right. Any advice out there!? Thanks all!

Everyone I don't understand something and hope u can help. I'm reading that people who just had surgery or are a few days post op are getting in a lot of their protein already. How can that be??? I'm two weeks post op as of this Friday and all I have been consuming is water, decaf coffee, sugar free Popsicles and crystal light. There is absolutely no protein in any of these items. Am I seriously doing something wrong and will harm myself in the long run when I start my next diet phase??? My post op diet plan says straight clear liquids.

Mami, how long have you been post op though? Just wondering because I am less than 2 weeks post op and was a little concerned on whether it would hurt my new pouch. Thanks for the responses all!

Hi everyone. I have a pretty question and I hope it's I'm to ask this. I'm a little concerned and was wondering if I could get some advice from post op patients. I am 6 days post op and my bowels movements are concerning me. I have bouts of diarrhea that are extremely foul smelling. At first they were black and green watery and looked like pieces of in digested parsley floated around the bowl. It smelled like a combination of a medicinal smell mixed in with a dried blood smell. When I went to flush toilet the the bowl was covered with a thick yolk like substance that would not flush completely unless I flushed multiple times and then had to use a toilet brush to scrub the rest off. Now, in the least couple of days the diarrhea colour has changed to an orangey yellow colour with the same disturbing fowl smell and still very yolks where no matter how many times I flushed it did not clean off so I had to Scrub with the brush again. I have no pain, no fever. I feel ok. Is the serious? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!!!
