A Funny! What Has Been Your Crazy Weak Moment Craving!
PaulB replied to PhotoChic's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I wanted a ham and cheese sub so I went to wegmans and smelled the sub shop YUMMY then ran like a little kid. I'm so afraid that all this will be for nothing and it keeps me from cheating. I love the way I'm starting to look and know I'm not there yet. The nutritionist says its ok to treat your self ever now and then just make sure you work it off. And don't be a pig about it. But like I said I afraid I will go back to being fat again and that won't happen so I stay honest. But that's just me Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12 -

Im Postop 9Days But Something's Wrong
PaulB replied to number 7's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Time it takes time we can put weight on faster then we can take it off. Stay off the scale weight your self just one time a week. Or you will drive your self crazy if you don't see the scale move every day. Then you will cut back on your eating put your body in to starvation mode and then you won't lose any weight Don't push it the weight will come off. Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12 -
Congrats it feels good Now don't let it go to your head stay on track and let's lose some more. Great job Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12

Just Becuse your scale does not move for a week or 2 does not mean that your body is not changing. Keep your calorie count up as close to 800 as you can and you will still lose weight. That way your body is not going in to starvation mode, and get in 60-100 g Protein a day It's not easy. But nothing about WLS is Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12

Same here I get though half and save the rest for later. If you have a GNC around you try Quest bars the keep really well in a car or lunch box and they ar low in calories almost no carbs and no sugars Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12

Stay off the scale 1 time a week. If you check every day you will be disappointed Becuse the scale didn't move then you will cut back on your eating put your body into starvation mode and still won't lose weight. I know I have done this and my doctor reamed my but about it ,when I get my calories up around 800 the weight comes off faster. Just Becuse you don't see the scale move does not mean your body is not changing as you just found out. We all want it to come off fast and be skinny next week and it will come off in time. To bad it won't come off as fast as we can put it on .your doing fine keep it up I bet you like the new you. Becuse I like the new Me Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12

Day 6 Of Pre Op Liquid Diet
PaulB replied to Sharma Castillo's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Then after surgery you will still be on a liquid deit but you won't care. So right now you are going though the hard part it gets better. Arter surgery most doctors have you on liquids for 2-4 weeks the purée for 2-4 weeks the soft food then regular for if you can keep it down. Hope I'm not scaring you. But Belive me with in weeks you will start to see the change and you will like what you see,and relies it was all worth it. Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12 -

I would love to be hot, since WLS and the weather changing here in upstate NY I'm cold all the time can't get warm. Doctor says its my body trying to adjust to its new form, nice way to say you don't have your fat anymore to keep you warm. Hope I adjust soon or I'm moving south LOL. Do you have a fever or I don't know how to say this right and don't know how old you are could it be menopause my wife has similar conditions. You may want to check with your doctor anyways. Hope you feel better Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12

You can't make someone due something that they don't want to do but maybe after he see's you losing weight he will want WLS to keep your fingers crossed. It would be way cool for him to do it with you, but look at it like this I have seen it at support group that the spouse has it done a year after, Becuse they see what their other spouse looks like and you will be able to help him though it Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12
