MY Doctor gave me this card to use at Restaurants have only used it ones and the waitress had gone though RNY 2 years ago she lost 234 lbs and looks HOT. So she went out of her way for me. Barebones we all have those days. Why did I do this , what did I do to my self your old pouch says feed me the new pouch say up yours you send food down here and I will send it right back. Then you see your little guy standing there (or what ever reson you did this) and remember why we did this and can't wait to lose more and make it all worth while Besides just think what your going to look like in that new smoken hot bikini on the beach in hawaii Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12

So nothing will change for me. I was always a cheap date being on 11 different Med's befor surgery alcohol was almost nonexistent 1 beer was like a six pack (great way to save money on booze) no fun at a bar Have at it just please don't drink and drive. My right leg still hurts from time to time thinking about the drunk driver that ran me down and drove off. Took almost a year & (6 surgerys) for me to heal and learn how to walk again with my right leg DRINK but DONT DRIVE Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12

Heros are every day ordinary people just doing the right thing. I to am in this for the long run no way could I ever want to do this again. I have not returned to work so I have lots of time to Reserch what has happen to me and why I have gotten to this point in my life Becuse of food. We have this some what famous gorge here called Watkins Glen if you are a NASCAR fan you have hard of it. They have this walking path that goes up to the top of the gorge and is all steps (800) in all some flat spots and then Jacobs ladder it's like 400 million steps or close to it right at the top my wife likes to try and kill me by making me walk up the last part. DL you are my mentor and hero. Do you work in the medical field or do you just read a lot about WLS . You have got to be one of the most knowledgable persons on this Fourm and have given out some outstanding advise. My wife and I have tryed to read everything we could on the subject and now Becuse of our daughter in college studing nutrition/ culinary has got us reading up on nutrition. Give him a chance it not only hard on you but it's a change of life style for him as well. What he was used to is not the same any more. And who better to know how hard it is to change then US My wife miss going out to eat and time alone with just me In the beginning . and though it's only been 4 week post op she has adjusted. Most of us went thought WLS not just for our selfs but for our kids and loved one. Would be nice if they would join in and become healthier with us. If not for my wife and son I would never have taken this Journy . She has been by my side though out this hole thing and has done more Reserch them I have. And slowly she is getting rid of all the bad stuff in the house.and teaching the boy about portion control and healthier choices. Like carrots or apples over hohos or cupcakes. My doctor put me on Prilosec and said I would have to take it for the rest of my life. I have very little gas and if I do a short walk takes care of that Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12

MSLADY is right on the money if there is a support group near you go sit in you don't have to wait till you have surgery. This way you get to see what it will be like after surgery. We went befor surgery and have meet some new friends got great advise and learned more the we could have reading every book written on WLS. Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12

Just wait there will be a time when you are so sick of fluids Jello you will want to scream. When you get to purée you will think heaven has come to earth. After 4 weeks of purée soft food starts to look even better.
