    i have no energy

When I exercise I have tons of energy, so I exercise 7 days a week
  2. I was given full clearance at 4 weeks. You will need to get clearance from your surgeon, I think that you may be on the ground for a while with the horse back riding. It may be too painful. Get your rest and heal
  3. I just had my cell phone, I was on a morphine pump so I hit that button all the time. By the second day all my waking moments were me walking around, then I would go back to bed hit the morphine and sleep. I personally did not have any use for the lap top, when I was not sleeping or walking I was just watching TV.

    Water Woes

My surgeon required that I get 64 oz. of water in a day he never said a certain amount or anything like that. All he said was sip, sip, sip, sip all day long so that is what I did !!!
  5. Just focus on getting better and getting the heck out of there !! Good luck and a speedy recovery.
  6. After surgery I was not hungry at all, the smell of food was enough to turn me off so that was real easy. The pain was minimal because I took my pain meds as directed and I did not let my pain get out of control. I was back to work in a week and I am one year out and I would do it all again in a second. Best thing I ever done !

    Just had surgery

Welcome... take time to rest and heal, do what your surgeon tells you to do and you will be fine. What got me up and about and back to work in 1 week was lots of walking and rest, I also took my pain meds as instructed. Your body heals faster when you are in no pain so take those meds. its easier to control pain when it first starts but when it gets out of control nothing will help.
  8. Everyone is different... I'm 1 yr post op and seemed to have stopped. I had a stall for 3 months when I was 5 months post op, to get out of the stall I started jogging instead of walking and I increased my workout time from 45 minutes to 60+ and that broke the stall. Most people have stalls and you need to find out what gets you going again whether it is changin around your foods, exercise, or both.

    Stoppes losing

My surgery weight was 216 and I am 163 and 1 yr. post op yesterday. I seem to have leveled off, I wanted to get to 150 but now I'm thinking maybe not. I eat what I am supposed to eat, I exercise daily for 1 hour + I know I'm doing all the right things but a bit dissapointed, I have my yearly check-up in a couple of weeks and I am going to see if this is it. You look great, you don't want to get too skinny !!

    Please pray!

Isn't there any way your work can be without you? I know it is elective surgery and all but what would they do if it was a emergency -- they would have to deal with it right ??? I would speak to your boss and see if you could work something out. Don't give up !!!!

    Just had surgery on monday.

Each day you feel better.... some people take longer to recover than others. The best thing to do is get up and move around (walk) it helps in the recovery process.

    compressors/girdles

I know after liposuction they make you wear compression (girdle) type clothes. You are young so you should not have too much sagging but.....it also depends on how big you are/were. Your skin can only stretch so far, once you have stretched it to the point of no return you will have sagging no matter what. There is no cream, girdle, exercise that will make your skin not sag...unless you have sugery.

    RNY & Gallbladder removal

I had my gallbladder removed 10 wks after my RNY. I wish I knew that the GB could be removed while doing the RNY. I never had any problem with the GB. I had a really bad attack about 8 wks post RNY. I had a ultrasound done and my GB was full of stones, I wish I knew that PRIOR to RNY !!! The GB surgery was a set back for me because I was feeling great then the GB attack, I will be 1 yr post op tomorrow and doing fantastic !!!

    Exercise question

I was cleared to jog and do anything I want at 4 wks post op. We all heal at a different rate, I was lucky where I was back to work a week after surgery. I would call your doctor and ask you don't want to mess any of their work up !!!! Its better to be safe than sorry.

    Please help...

Kristy3K is so right.... stick with your program, food, protein, liquids and all of a sudden you are going to get on the scale and be down 10 lbs... your body is still healing and will for a while. You can't have instant gratification it took time for the weight to go on so its going to take time for it to come off. We all lose at our own rate.. you will lose... follow your plan.

    shoe size

Yes, when I'm heavy I am a 9 now that I am thinner it is 8.5 or 8.
  22. with me its immediately. I know the second I swallow that its not going down right .
  23. Your surgeon should give you a list of what food you can eat at each stage after surgery. When released from the hospital I was on liquids only for a week then anything that was soup, yogurt, etc.
  24. Sounds like you have something going on.... how far post op are you? If you are just recent I would contact your surgeon ASAP.
