I never tried them but I bought the protein shots and they were discusting for sure !! VERY NASTY tasting.... I sent them back !!!
-
Yeah... contrats.... and good luck
-
What worked for me was that I followed EXACTLY what my surgeon wanted me to do ... pre-op AND post-op.. I ate what I was supposed to eat, I exercised when I was cleared and have had no issues what so ever. Follow doctor's orders and you will be fine. Good Luck !

OMG !!! you poor thing !!!! I'm glad you are feeling much better now and can function normally. What an ordeal to go thru

I was just the opposite of you I had RNY then 10 wks after that I had a major GB attack and had it removed. It all depends on the surgeon, "dirty" surgery means that if they are near a part of your body that they can nick a bowel that is not good or they don't want to chance it. Its better to be safe than sorry.

What do you wear while losing?
BBdoodle replied to bostonlass's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have/had all sizes of clothes from 18 to 8, so when I go down a size I just go shopping in my attic For those who don't have smaller sizes I would by tight stretchie type clothes so when you lose they will shrink with you. -
Cheers !

I did pizza about 4 months post op. Pre-surgery I could down like 4 slices ... post surgery I can barely get down one, I do get the very thin crusted pizza as well. I can do the thick stuff anymore. I'm 14 months post op and can still only do one slice... everything in moderation

Right side pain with no gallbladder
BBdoodle replied to kellbell5's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
After I had my gallbladder removed 10 wks after RNY I still had "gallbladder attacks" I even went and had another ultrasound done and nothing was found. My doctor said that sometime the tiny little ducts may still have stones that need passing. Its been about 4 months since I have had any attacks. It seemed for me the attacks were for about 8 months after gallbladder surgery. -
I'm confused...talk to me
BBdoodle replied to Lisa R's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
After the first few weeks you slowly start to meet your daily requirements. Its difficult but I made it my daily goal to get everything in daily !!! -
I did not have to do a pre-surgery diet either but my surgeon had VERY specific instructions post op though and I followed them to the "t".
-
Yes it should....as SoccerMomma said its not a elective. I had my RNY surgery and 10 wks after I had a really bad gallbladder attack and had to go under the knife again... I wish I knew to have a ultrasound done BEFORE RNY or I would of had all done at once. Mine was full of stones too but it never bothered me. You are luck to get all done at once.....good luck

YEAH... congrats and you sound like you are sooooo ready for this -
Yup.... that was all I though about !!!! You are totally normal !!!! Congrats on your 7/9 date it will be here before you know it.

I was a huge diet pepsi addict... I quit cold turkey after surgery, I am a year+ post op and I have a diet soda every once in a while but I don't miss it at all. Actually it tastes very chemically now.

Don't let doctors treat you that way !!! Tell them you need for them to find out what is wrong !!! They sound pretty much un-caring type doctors. I know a pulled muscle can make you want to kill yourself because I've been there. I would go to the ER and get pain meds.

Your body goes thru lots of changes in the first year....after about a year everything falls into place. Try getting more sleep maybe?
