  3. Hey guys. It's best to just get some of that emotion out of your system. I went though this for 2 months and it got pretty bad. It's a bad mixture of hormones, food separation, and pain. I promise it will get better, but right now you have to go thought these growing pains. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
  4. I had a kidney infection for the 1st month after surgery. It was hard because I couldn't swallow antibiotics and I could not take the liquid medication because I was dehydrated. Sometimes it doesn't feel right.. But your troubles sound horrific. I hope it gets better. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

    Feeling full

You have to be careful with liquids and make sure you are measuring it out. At some point the super full feeling with go away and you have to rely on portion control and controlling your trigger food. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

    What ya eating tonight?

Jeez- don't be embarrassed! This site is not for judgement. I think u did good eating just the meat and not the bread! You made a better choice than you would have in the past. Just can't make it a habit. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
  14. You deserve to be with someone that's it in for the long haul. When someone loves you they see you as a person and not as a size. What happens - god forbid- u gain weight back? Is he going to leave you? What if you got disfigured or disabled? You want a man, not a boy looking to play with toys. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

    depression is taking over!

As far as men goes, the good ones are not just looking for the perfect body or perfect woman. If that was the case supermodel or Halley berry would never have gone through a divorce. Men do like strong, confident, smart and nice women. Personality really does go a long way!! I can't imagine what all you are going through- weight loss is just a tool and not a cure. You have to figure out the real issue to the depression to make sure you can live a happy health life. (((Hugs))) Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

  21. Hello Amanda. Your calorie intake seems a little high for a diet. The calorie intake for someone not on a diet is around 2,000. if you want to loose more weight, change your calorie intake to 1500 and try to burn 300 to 500 calories. This will allow you to lose 2 pounds a week. Have you spoken to a nutritionist? Also look at your carb, sugar, and fat content. I believe you are Pre-opp, so I would try to start getting in the habit of eating Protein. Hope this was helpful... Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

  23. I didn't work out for the first 6 months. I had a hard recovery. Now I walk about 1 mile - 30 mins 3 times a week. I also do Water aerobics once a week. If I could exercise more, I would had lost an additional 30 pounds. Following the food was easy for me because I had trouble eating as well as the dumping syndrome. I still struggle to get my Protein in daily. My best days are when I eat the same things and maybe something new on Friday or Saturday. I also eat a Protein Bar with Fiber. Any day I poop, I know I'm loosing. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

    Day 3 post-op weenie.

9 months out - my family and I laugh at all the crazy things I did during hell month! Several - severe crying spells; there was that time I wanted to throw something and a soft and light pillow took a brutal talking to followed by a toss--- and I think my mother taped me laughing at something and breaking out into tears at the same time because laughing hurt my side and caused really bad pain.
