I use Splenda, but I try to use half of what I did before the surgery. No dumping from it. If you do, you can try trivia. Splenda is coming out with a new form of sugar that is suppose to be much better for you.

Before I have dumping I have heavy pressure in my stomach and feel very sick. Then I just curl up and lay down until it comes out.

Oh this is awful. I'm glad you have such a wonderful boyfriend helping you through this. I've had a uti since surgery which they have treated 3 times and I have to go get checked out tomorrow. I'm scared my kidneys have been effected. -

I am post opp. 7 weeks. I promised myself I would wait 6 months before I try to bite a pizza and only after I've walk at least 3 miles. I'm trying to make sure if I eat anything like that I can handle burning it off. I'm not at the point yet, so I don't think about it. -
I have trouble with how water taste. I also hate how I can smell everything - even plastic!! I only had that experience with eggs. I could not eat it as a soft food at 4 weeks. My Nut told me to try again at 6 weeks. I did, and the first day was great. 2nd day I dumped. I waited a week and tried again and I could not chew a bite, it tasted like metal to me. Ughh.

My family is party central!!! I had my surgery on June 4th and by now we had 3 birthday party's, 4th July, Fathers Day and who knows what else. I crunched on flavored ice during most of it. Sometimes I just went to another room while they were eating. I didn't want the food after surgery, but the smell of it made me so nauseated. -

Hi Patty. I'm going through the same thing. I was able to eat oatmeal because it did not have a smell. I just found a shake I could tolerate (12th time is the charm!!). I can't be in the house when someone is cooking. - I will start gagging really bad!! Try - cheese - low fat, oatmeal, fruit with cottage cheese, small amounts of yougart and Soup. -

Hi Lacy, You at doing great! Trust me, we all cry at some point and of course they "y" start. Why did I do this!!!! I didn't believe it myself, but it does get better - not overnight. -

Wow. People just don't know how discriminatory they can be to people with weight issues. I remember only riding the rides at Disney that had bigger seats for "adults" constantly messaging us the lines for everyone else etc. -

Yes!!! My last meal was a box of pizza picked up. I ate it while my husband was driving on the way to th movies to get popcorn - i ate all of that too along with a Icee. They are or should i say were my 3 favorite things!!!! -

I turned paperwork into dr office and chked with insurance company everyday. I received a approval the 2nd day - 48 hours. It took a week for Dr office to get official approval letter from insurance company. Then they schedule surgery the following month - a little less than 30 days. -
