Discrimination/ Got Fired
Melsauve replied to nomorefat's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I will pray for you! Hopefully it won't effect your surgery. -
I had a c-section and this hurt worse for me. But my aunt had it and never had any pain and she had the same surgeon as me. So you never know. Hope for the best and prepare for the worst lol. If it helps I don't remember the pain anymore and it's been six months. My suggestion is walk as much as you can when you get it done it helps with the pain and the gas. For me it seemed like the gas gave me the most pain! Walking helped get rid of it. The days I didn't walk I was hurting. Good luck you will do great:-)

I was with you vamp I didn't broadcast it but u was open and honest about it. Most people were very supportive and still are. Once in a while you find people who aren't so supportive but u just say its a personal choice and not for everyone.

But it keeps telling me I'm under eating lol. I wish I could adjust it so it required less calories.

I also had to go through the whole ordeal with my period. Was definitely uncomfortable especially when they were keeping track of how much urine I was putting out after surgery. I've been very regular but having major hormones! I'm very moody when I ovulate and crazy breast tenderness that is so uncomfortable.

Anyone Regret The Surgery?

I know the beginning sucks but you will get threw. Try and walk it really helped me with my pain. Even if you just walk around your house it will help. The first 3 weeks were the worst for me especially when my family was eating food I cried. I know it seems like forever but it will go fast. Good luck and stay positive:-). I'm 6 months out and feel great stay focused you can do it! -
I Had Surgery A Week Ago! Shocked.
Melsauve replied to Fourx4CieBri's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sometimes it was uncomfortable and a little painful in the beginning. I used to take breaks while I walked because I would get tired fast. I would say it took to week 5 till I got my energy back. I was glad I didn't have to go back to work before that cuz I was constantly exhausted. Make sure your drinking cuz if you aren't that also can make you tired. I'm still struggling with dehydration. -
Good luck:-)

I found that walking really helped the gas. Even if your walking around your house get up and move. My fiancé made me walk everyday I was so miserable while doing it. But the one day I didn't walk I was in agony. I thanked him a week later for getting me moving. It really is the best way to get rid of the gas plus does help get the bowels moving too! Good luck ladies keep up the good work:-) -
Find it hard some days to drink all the water I'm suppose to. Dribkibg 64oz is a lot of water lol! I also drink crystal light and vitamin waters. I guess maybe I'm just sick of drinking water! I do drink an ice coffee a couple times a week which I know isn't the best but some days I gotta have my caffeine. Ive been having dizzy spells and u know it's due to dehydration so I gotta drink. If anyone has any drink suggestions I would love them thanks:-)

I joined my pitnesspal ony iPhone too! Hopefully it will get me moving cuz lately I've been so not motivated!

I liked the Atkins protein shakes they sold them right at wal-Mart. I liked the vanilla and strawberry ones. The chocolate ones were a bit chalky but that could just be me. Sounds like you are doing good so far though:-)

My Dr told us that smoking could literally perforate your pouch and cause death. My dr refused to surgery on people who smoke because of the high risks of death. I'm not trying to scare you I'm just letting you know what I was told. I know it's not easy I was smoker 5 years ago but I know you can do it!
