    Lifting Weights

I can't wait! I'm 4 weeks 2 days out. I prefer weights to cardio. In fact I despise treadmills ellipticals stair masters and stationary bikes. I like playing sports volleyball and softball are my favorites. And I like lifting and swimming. I'm thinking about tennis lessons

    Normal Pain?

I had horrible pain too for at least two weeks hang in there it gets better I would just sit there in tears praying for God to help me as I hit the lortab bottle like it was Jack Daniels. As far as stamina your body is using a lot of energy to heal on very little calories I'm nearly 4 weeks out and I still get exhausted. Bet you can't wait for the insomnia to start! Cuz I can't sleep for shit!
  11. I have BCBS of IL too and it was around a week
  12. The only problem I can see arising from that is increased appetite. Which will put you at risk of overeating and choosing the wrong foods

1St Post Op Appt. - Infection.

My Dr says they prevent infection. The site they use the drain on is where they do most of the work. Its the largest incision. Its also very deep because most of us have a lot of fat there. Packing it helps it heal from the inside out. So no tunneling or abscesses form.

    10% Body Fat!

My surgeon didn't have a set amount of weight I had to lose but there is a mandatory 1 week liquid protein diet. No food 3-6 protein shakes a day. It supposed to shrink a fatty liver. I did mine for 3 weeks. The first two weeks I had 2 shakes and a lean protien with veggies for dinner the last week I did 3 shakes a day. I lost 30 pounds. I did have sugar free Popsicles and jello even though I wasn't supposed to have the jello but I needed to eat something

    Surgery Went Well.

It took me a couple of days to fart LOL. Burping was no problem. The gas they blow u up with is in your abdomen not ur digestive tract so it dissapates as u move around it doesn't come out of you orifices

How Hungary Are You Post Op?

I'm almost never hungry and you learn by trial and error when your pouch is full. If you overeat you'll feel afterwards. Take it slow. It takes some time tinley chew properly and tinley eat slowly.

    Getting Out Of Bed.....

I slept on the couch nearly sitting up for the first 2 weeks. In the bed for a week now and I made my husband switch places with me. I swing my feet to the floor then I push off my husband using only arm muscles I placed a kitchen chair next to my bed and I slide myself on the chair then I use the desk to push up with using only arms and leg muscles. Oh I usually sit in the chair for a few min before getting up cuz I'm super sore when I first wake up
