    Two Weeks Post-Op!

Great job. I am 3 weeks post op and am struggling with nausea. My stomach always feels full so I am having a rough time putting anything in it! If you have a small pillow, take that to work with you and hold it against your left side while you sit and work. It helps!
  2. I chose bypass because of the "bypass" part of it!! You will be able to eat more (eventually) with the Sleeve and everything you eat is absorbed. With bypass, I knew I would get the best results because of the bypass... yes you have to take supplements the rest of your life, but it's worth it. I believe the success rate for RNY is higher than Sleeve. You don't want to have a second surgery, if the sleeve fails you would have to go back in for RNY. I just did it from the git go! Good luck!

    Please Please Help

You need protien!! Try the unjury unflavored. You can put that in Crystal Light... or try the sugar free Hawiian Punch. It's not bad at all. Only eat 2 oz of SF Jello or SF pudding at one time. If you do yogurt... be sure that you only eat 2 oz and be sure that it's a Light and Low Fat brand. Never take more than 6grams of suger per 2oz serving. Try the SF popcicles as well. You need to figure out if you do better with warm or cold... try some Low Fat beef broth. It's hard to get the liquids in, but you should be sipping every few minutes to remain hydrated. Be sure you are taking your Vitamins too. Try not to gulp... just sips. Are you on an acid reducer? If so, take it before bed... that may help. I am 3 weeks post op and it's been a challenge but it's worth it!

Nectar Protein Powder By Syntrax - ?

Mybariatricpantry.com sells the sample pack. Everyone has different tastes so I would buy that. I hated the Carribean Cooler (although I LOVE pinapple and coconut), Crystal Sky and some of the others. So far I like the Lemon Tea. I still have to try the Pink Grapefruit and some others. I have had a rough time finding flavors that I like. The sample pack is the best way to go! I found the best option for me was unjury (unjury.com) unflavored powder. I mix that in Raspberry Ice Crystal Light and I love it. I also throw that into a stew or chili. Can't even tell! For chocolate... I love Champion Nutrition's Pure whey Protien Stack. I add a few drops of coconut extract!! YUM. But I can't do chocolate everyday... I really prefer the unflavored from Unjury! Hope that helps!
  5. Well... I am 3 weeks post op and doing ok. History: Had lap band in 08 and it was a mess! My allergies are severe and I would experience post nasal drip and the band would clog... then I would be sick... then my stomach would swell.. then I couldn't eat (or barely drink) for 2-3 days! I messed around with the fill for 3 years and decided I was done! The same doctor took out the band in March of 2012 and did the RNY in May 2012. I still struggle with my allergies, but I am finding that if I take a Claritin D before bed, I am LESS nauseous in the morning. Current condition: I have a bit of nausea. I am never hungry or thirsty so its a struggle to get in all the liquids I need.. and the protien shakes. I am taking all the Vitamins... that is kind of gross. I hope to get over the nausea as my stomach heals over the next few weeks. Weird things: Lots of nausea, foamy burps, first sip of Water in the morning feels like a cannon ball in my stomach! Anyone else experience this? Please tell me it goes away!!
