I was 245 before pre op diet 230 before surgery on 5-31 and left weighing ?? Weighted my self today 241 i am walking and getting my water in just not protein.

Congratulations on walking more. I am able to walk and get my water in but my protein is not coming at all easy for me. I drink 4 oz of my shake go for another sip then wanta throw up. I was able to add extra protein to my shakes before surgery and now cant handle it no matter what temperature it is cant wait till puree foods so i can try to get it in that way.

Post Op Day 3, Gas Pains

My nurse said walk and if gas pains are in the stomach area ice if its near the shoulders a hot paid will help it. But walk.... as long as i am up and walking i have almost no pain its when i am sitting i am in alot of pain. Rny 5-31-12 -

I am 6 days out and happy that i am up too 4 oz a hr .... would love info on drinking more without getting sick. Seeing the Dr again on Friday maybe he can help

I have alot a gas too it dose suck .....plus i haven't had a real bm yet which is because i am swollen at my small intestines which really sucks but dr says if thats the only side effect i am having i am still lucky and in 3 months it will all be worth it. So try to get all fluids in and look at the light at the end of tunnel. -
Can't believe in less than 24 hrs I will be in recovery ....but 3 am is going to come way to early for me. I am not really a morning person.

Wow u have been though alot to get where u r now .... i know how nervous i have gotten during this journey i can only imagine how nervous u are.

Okay less than 12 hrs now i am getting really nervous ..... plus my boss called me asked if i could please come into work tonight .... had to explain no i have stuff to get ready plus a two hr drive to get the hospital. Isn't that the point of taking time off?

I am on day 13 no cheating, i think the dr would be mad if he cut me open and found pizza or chicken in me. Not having food is helping me build a different realionship with food. Eat to live, not live to eat. That's what i keep telling myself.

Its a long wait but before u know it ur surgery will be here. I started all my classes and Dr visits last July so almost a year.
