I didn't have the greatest of childhood, I too used food to deal with hard times. But when I really think about it food has also hurt me. What I mean is if it weren't for food I would be in this situation, so I think I'm ready to let go.

My hubby got approved!!!! So we will be doing this together. Thank you god for this opportunity. My date is 8/15 and his is 8/18. I can't wait to get to the recovering part. Cuz we have a 15 month old boy that is full of energy. Ahhhhhhh **happy dance happy dance

Man thank god my husband and I are going to have to do the same. He too is going to get the bypass. The only difference is I'm on a 3 week liquid only diet and he will be on a 2 week liquid, unlimited fruit and veggies. Sh!t thats a big difference now that I think about it. lol I'm on day 6, and damn proud of myself -
