Oh and I was really depressed because I gained 10.pounds from IV fuilds they gave me extra because I had a UTI that probably came from prep. HUBBY said if I get upset he will let the boys use the scale for target practice.

Hey all. I'm back at home now. Hopefully I can type this without falling asleep. I woke up this morning with blood all over my binder it was coming from the JP drain. I stay on pain medicine every 4 hours around the clock. Still have gas I.can't expell. Oh my gosh its so so hard to drink! I walk as much as I can especially when I hear the gas moving haha which is pretty much all the time. I don't even want food!!!! Its so awesome! I can be around it and have no desire. Sassy you're so incredible you climbed how many flights of stairs?! You go girl!!!! Just thought I'd post some of my thoughts. Take care my friends love and prayers~judy

Well it's the night before my Surgery and my husband and oldest child think I'm.going to die on the operating table. They both hate it. Not the way I wanted to go into this. My other three boys are oblivious to it all. Blessings to you Sassy!!!!

This may sound strange but, think positive and count your blessings. Listen to to upbeat uplifting music soon your frown will turn up side down. Lack of liquids will keep you tired and weak....have someone get you something else to try keep trying till you find something that causes you the.least amount of nausea. Remember to rest too its OK you just had surgery! Take care! Prayed for you tonight!

Wow congratulations to y'all! I'm 7 days away! I started this at 331 I'm down to 321 right now and still have 7 days I really wanted to be under 300 for Surgery. Blessings and prayers to all. Wish I had a surgery day buddy!!!!

Guess what I did? I donated about 90% of my summer clothes! ( its still warm so I needed to save some) it felt so getting rid of them forever! PRAYING FOR YOU ALL!

How do we deal with it? I just keep thinking its only 2 weeks then I won't be hungry. Hubby is like see I told you it would be this way! I told him it would be like this after surgery because I won't be hungry. On the bright side he promised to take the boys out for ice cream its the last day the dairy bar is opened and I told him I would stay home so I wouldn't be tempted! He decided to stay home too and sent the boys alone

My starting weight is 331. I've been on my two week pre-op for 2 days at 325 now. I also started my vitamins. Did anyone get crabby and a terrible burning in your stomach? All who have surgery this week I'm praying for y'all. Can't wait to hear how things went and if you have any tips for us;)~Judy

Oh @ the hospital: I'm bringing pretty robe no nightgown because it will stain from incisions , lots of underware, slippers with traction, chapstick, shampoo, shower gel,poof,lotion, deorderant, toothbrush,toothpaste, brush, favorite pillow with bright color case so its no confused with the hospitals crappy pillows , clap machine,inhaler,phone with music downloads, ear buds, Kindle with RNY books downloads, notes of encouragement from loved ones (if I can get them to write some;)) , loose clothes for going home in, my wonderful husband! Best wishes and congratulations

Can't wait to see your replies. There's a great you tube video out there I watched. She showed everything she bought. Measuring cups and spoons she said a 2 tbs is great. I haven't found one yet. She also purchased nesting bowls,pretty small plates,shake blender from Walmart for only $20.,and various other things that I can't remember right now. I need to watch it.again thanks for the post. Do you know if priority health ever covers arm surgery if not how much would something like that cost?

Its so strange. I didn't have problems giving up pop/soda but, I replaced it with unsweetened ice tea. I also love adding instant expresso to my protein shake! So I've actually upped my caffeine intake! I would love to know why we should give it up. Thanks for your help everyone!

I have a few questions if you don't mind? •why do we give up caffeine? • I have read about liquid diet pre-op but, my Dr. has me on a low fat low Carb and protein shake diet. Hello! How do you start a new thread it seems I can only reply on my cell phone. You are all amazingly fantastic!!!! I go for surgery September 17th. Any advice I'm having RNY gastric bypass? So many people try to talk me out of it saying is so final. I say yes, yes it is bring it on!
