    Do You Ever Wish

That's a good reason. Mine is similar. Want to live long good life, and be able to keep up with my teenage kids, and partner. Reduce health issues and do lots of stuff I've been unable to do in recent times.

    Hungry

Are you head hungry? I went thru a stage where I thought I was hungry because of the clock and time of day, not actual hungry. Old habit. The old fear of not enough food and getting low on energy. In my case it was in my head. Surgeon said op turns off the normal hungry buttons for 6 months plus.

    Having Problems Eating

Like atcgoddess I haven't found anything that gives me too much trouble - am six weeks post op. only thing I've had stuck is pork, and nutritionist said that I found that one the hard way as it can be too dry. Even raw veges ok as long as I chew chew chew first. Had steak for the first time yesterday. Just the tiniest piece of eye fillet and it had been cooked by a top chef so was very moist and easy to chew. I know if I had cooked it had home, the result wouldn't have been the same. Just take it gentle on yourself. We will all get there, but it's not a race.

    Salads?

I've managed to have a little salad and I'm six weeks post op. I've found baby spinach ok and cucumber. Tomato ok but not the skins, and I have found I can handle a little avocado. Anything we can't chew into mush not good. Careful of highly fiberous veges. I had cabbage stuck and that hurt like buggery.

Let's Help Each Other On Those Bad Days

I was told that hair loss happens between 4-9 months. Going to hope that mine not too bad. I think that's a scary prospect.
  10. By the way if you had the sleeve, gas would be the same, but if you got acid reflux, that would get a whole lot worst.
  11. The gas is the worst part, and it does pass. But i remember it was very painful until it did. The rest of the healing is easier. Just follow the rules. I'm just starting to eat normal foods carefully and it's all good. But now I have a small taste and eat slowly. The eating slowly is a challenge for me. Already got food stuck once and that is not an experience I'd like to repeat.

Like Tammy I hv found that my weight loss started again when I increased what I was eating just a little. Still keeping to allowed foods, and eating slowly so pouchie can cope without hurting.

    Drinking

I had that to, and doctor pointed out that I was also swallowing air, and that was cases problems for me. - this was at day 2-3 while still in hospital. He Sid for me to breath out before swallowing, that way I wouldn't take air down to my new tummy as well.
  14. I thought I had bn going well, 4 weeks out. I'm on soft foods, but tonight was multi tasking and didn't chew enuf. I swear I thought I was going to hv a heart attack. food stuck was sooo painful. And felt really nauseous. think I was getting a bit cocky and thinking I was bulletproof. That sure a lesson I don't want to repeat!!!!! Sounds like I few people hv problems with scar tissue. I pray I not one. Tonight was really scary and painful.
