I've learned that everything I go through happens for a reason. We go through trials and tribulations not only to gain strength but to also strengthen others. I have decided to be transparent about my personal struggles in an attempt to encourage and inspire others to live their very best life too. I am an obesity survivor. My documented highest weight was 386 lbs. I have struggled with my weight my entire life. It saddens me sometimes to think of the time I lost not living a full life, my best life. I have lost over 200 lbs in 3 years. May 20th marks the 3 year anniversary of my gastric bypass surgery. As I take time to reflect on my journey I feel an overwhelming sea of emotions. I am proud to be at a healthy weight. I humbled by the entire experience. I am grateful to be free of my addiction. And I am honored to have been used for His purpose. I am excited about the next phase in this journey. Anxious to meet the people who know this struggle all too well. I am ready to start Living!
