I just had my one year upper GI and he said it looked ok. thank you God. I can't believe a year's gone by. I will try to lose my last 20lbs and get on with shopping! oh well, it will be a year on May 31st. Love my band.

kate eryn, I am interested in the lemon and water for acid. How much lemon juice do you put in the water? Is it bottled lemon juice? Can I put in some equal sweetner in it? thanks. -
cannedpooh, try some spaghetti sauce and low fat feta cheese, warm it in microwave til cheese melts, add some parmesan cheese and enjoy.

hi May bandsters, I am coming up on my one year also, May 31st. On Wednesday, May 14, I went to my and dr.'s seminar. I went to thank him for my birthday present, my band and weight loss. he was surprised and I got a chance to speak to everyone there, what an honor, especially when I can remember sitting there and saying to myself that I want to be on the other side! imagine! oh, well, I still have some to go but could not have been here without it. delo

msg, no, it wasn't as hard as I would ever have imagined. I was sooo scared of the liquid diet, no one could have ever talked me into it. but you know what, it passed quicker than I could have imagined and I lost weight and looked forward to more weight loss. you will do it, trust me. listen to your doctor and follow all rules, I look forward to your weight loss and you will never regret this, I promise you. when is your surgery? delo

mini, you are also doing very well, only around 35lbs to go, fantastic! Before you know it, we will be at goal. delo

hey Deb4339, nice to find someone who was banded on the same day I was, May 31, 2007. Isn't wonderful to feel so much better than last year at this time? I still have about 20lbs to lose, what's amazing is that I never thought that I could say I have 20lbs to lose, it was always oh, 60 to 70lbs. I feel great, how about you? I am in Michigan. Delo

hi msg, yes, things have really changed in the zoo. I am doing fine, I was banded at Borgess Hospital on May 31st of last year, I have lost 75lbs and it's a whole different feeling than last year about this time. I was worried that maybe just like other times I have tried to lose weight and nothing happened, but now I just hope that I can keep my lapband to maintain. I hope to lose another 20lbs and will call it goal. well, nice to hear from a Michigander. delo

hi, Mae. I thought I'd like to tell you that I'm thinking of you and how I felt last year when I got banded. I know yours is coming up on May 8, and am wishing you all the best. I wasn't scared so much but I just wanted to start my journey as soon as possible. anyway, here I am one year out and lost about 75lbs. now I think of you and remember my fears and my anticipations. You have the best surgeon and thus, you will be in good hands. hope to see you again at our support group meetings. delo.

t-bird, that's great, you are doing really good! I will get this checked out, possibly an x-ray under fluro. the dr usually does this at one year to check on the band. hope there's no complications. I still need my band. I have dreams of eating my Polish food or any foods. sometimes I get depressed about this then I look in the mirror!

hi everyone, I am near my band anniversary, too. I am glad to have lost the weight and would do it all over again. It will be one year on May 31st. I go to the dr tomorrow for a checkup and I am having issues with reflux. yuck. He gave me Prevacid but still having issues, maybe too tight? I dunno. any ideas?

my anniversary is May 31st of 2007. where has the year gone? I probably will have an x-ray to check on my band next month. hope everything's all right! Love my band!!!!!

well, my thoughts on fills is that it may take time for all the saline to reach the band. Maybe it takes a couple days to reach the band?

I buy Pro Complex from GNC, the Rich Milk Chocolate kind, and I mix it with water and ice cubes in the blender. it has 60 grams of protein in two scoops and tastes really good. I also add one package of sf carnation instant breakfast to it, more protein, all I need in one day. This is the first shake I have been able to drink, it is soooo good. good luck! -
I find if I don't mix Benefiber or Fiber Sure or Fiber Choice, etc. in my drink, I will be very constipated. My doctor said it could be from all the protein that can cause constipation. I mix a couple of tablespoons in my ice tea and am regular. hope this helps.
