Anyone else SUPER cranky??
Juangrande replied to michellyoh's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
yeah, a little. my wife and kids were chomping down on buffalo wings, rice and calamari, and i was going to have a little more of my protien shake than usual and they started in on me. with their mouths full. my kids learned a new word that night. -
my doc said two weeks of clear liquids, but i couldnt stand it. on the one week mark, i ate a piece of baked fish with no problems. i just chewed it until it swallowed itself. I've also had creamy liquids and a little homemade lowfat sugar free chocolate ice cream. but i felt great after two day and only took pain meds for one day. i was determined to get over the surgery and get on with my life. i'm still not straining myself much just to be safe.

How was your recovery 1 week after surgery
Juangrande replied to too much of me's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i had my surgery on 06/27 and one week later i was down 15 pounds and feeling like a champ. as of the beganing of week two, i still havent had a fill and i can tell it. i dont get all that hungry, but the liquids dont fill me up like i think they should. dont tell my doc, but i've even tried a little solids with no trouble at all. i just chew it until it swallows itself.hehe i'm still not straining myself just for safe measure, but i feel great. except for the dragon breath and they say that should go away. it better!!! -
if the docs cant figure out the cause, then let a physical therapist treat the symptom. foot drop is caused by interuptions in the neural synapses *sp*. its very common in people who have experianced a stroke. there are electrostimulation devices that can help correct the condition, as well as traditional modalities that can re-educate the flexor muscles of the lower leg. good luck.
