Waiting To Go Into Surgery!
MsCook replied to Stardusted's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When you wake up, you'll have a great new tool that will be the key to your success. Take it easy during recovery and let us know how you're doing. -
We're excited for you, too, Katie! Glad you have a supportive employer and can do this for YOU! And Vicki, I'm sending good thoughts your way for approval very soon. Good luck!
-
Way to go, Jeff! So gratifying to see the fruits of your labor isn't it?!

My tiredness and sleepiness subsided somewhere around week 3, though I went back to work on day 10. The key is to manage your energy and rest when you need to. Take care!

Pre-Op Testing - It Should Not Be This Hard...
MsCook replied to worm2872's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The hoops will all be worth jumping in the end, though. Hang in there and be persistent. And you are the patient... the customer... of this practice, so demand to be treated with respect and common courtesy. If they are not responsive, I'd find another surgeon. My two cents... -
Keep up hope! It'll happen for you.
-
Fantastic! So happy for your success!

Your hospital, which will be the biggest part of your surgery bill, may be willing to work with you as well. Let them know what's going on and see if they can put together a payment plan before you even go in. Good luck!

Lay the morning paper (date showing) on the floor next to the scale tomorrow morning when you weigh. Then take a picture of the scale, feet, newspaper and all. Proof positive if you really have to go that far! LOL!

I've had some really vivid and action-packed dreams since surgery, too. I just attributed it to sleeping better now that the weight is coming off. Perhaps the sleep apnea is improving...
