I got rid of mine today!! It was so annoying ...... My surgery was the 7th and they just moved me to full liquids. -

I'm 8 days out and just taking a shower exhaust me. But it is slowly getting better. I'm trying to get in as much protein and fluids as I can. When I get frustrated I just remind myself that I just had major surgery. Hang in there...... -
Does Anyone Take Antidepressants?

I've been throught periods of depression. Sometimes I knew why (divorce, etc) and sometimes there just seemed to be no reason for it. I've been on meds for it. After 6 or 12 months I would be able to come off them. It seems like they would rebalance me and I would be ok. -
34 pounds in 3 weeks....that's GREAT... I'm still on full liquids...can't wait for an egg...

I'm one week out and I'm down 9 pounds from day of surgery. -
Looked up 24 hour fitness....unfortunately the closest one is 1800 miles away! I talked to my doctors office and they said the only way to get it is online...they are going to give me samples at my appt. on Wednesday ....then I guess I'll just order online...it does seem to be a great way to get my protein in....

I'm 5 days post op ....my doctor said to have a small spoonful of apple sauce to get my nexium down.....I was in such pain after....I finally threw up every thing I had gotten in that day...then felt better...now I'm afraid to have anymore, but afraid to not take my nexium and get an ulcer.....I'll be talking to the doctors office today. -

I'm 47. Had surgery Aug. 7,2012. -
I had surgery August 7, 2012. No complications. Felt great the second day. A little nauseous this morning, but meds took care of that. I'll be going home in the morning. Overall, can't believe how good I feel after having major surgery. I had bypass and the doctor also found and fixed a hyatial hernia. Hope this helps.

I know someone who is 3 yrs post op. She said she occasionally smokes since drinking is no longer an option for her.

Someone came to support group that had gained weight back. In 2004 he was 500 lbs. In 3 years he got down to 200 lbs. He is now 380 lbs. he had RNY. Unfortunately he went back to all his old bad habits. It was definitely an eye opener....
