I ha my surgery on a Wednesday (13th), took the next week off and went back on Monday (25th).

Thanks for the info. I had a CT scan while in the hospital, but knowing my hospital, they probably just checked the surgery points and not the gallbladder. I will have to ask my doctor about this.

Yes. Could that cause vomiting also?

I never had any problems pre op. it's bad now. I can't work for more than two hours without taking a walking break.

I have it too! I can't even sit through a movie without having to take a little walk to relieve the pain.

I went in on Wednesday, out Friday. I had the swallow test and a part of my intestinal tract was swollen and passing liquids slowly. Because of that, I couldn't have any water or broth until Friday around noon. They had to make sure the liquid fully passed before I could have anything.

Post-Op Vitamins
robynshaw replied to Cheryl Barfoot's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had to take b12 shots, 2 pre op, 2 post op. they also have me on a multi-vitamin, b12 sublingual, high dose iron, probiotic, vitamin d and calcium chews. When I was released from the hospital, they told to continue all (ugh!) vitamins until my post op appointment. -
I was talking about the OnQ. It was in my lower right abdomen, not my chest.

He can repair it during surgery, no big deal. I have one also that is getting repaired. Just make sure it is in your file that they will repair it at time of surgery. -
For my bloodwork, they took 9 vials of blood. The only thing that came back was Vitamin defiencies. I'm taking more Vitamins and getting b12 shots. I wouldn't stress about it too much.

My doctor said forever. It is a life-style change. The reasoning is that you swallow air when you use a straw or chew gum and the air will a) take up valuable space on your pouch and end up stretching your pouch out.

My RNY surgery is scheduled for June 13th and there is a concert I would like to attend on June 21st, eight days after my surgery. It is a country concert, so real low key and I will be able to sit for the most part. I was wondering if any of you felt you would have been up for something like that so soon after your surgery. We hardly ever get concerts where I am, so I would really like to go. It will probably be my only chance to see this artist. Thanks for the advice!
