    Trying Not To Regret!

I had bad buyers remorse my first two months. it does get better. I had a lot of complications my first couple months and I really thought it wouldn't get better. I was hospitalized twice for dehydration and had to have 3 endoscopies to dilate my esophagus and pouch due to strictures. I am now 5 months out and feel much more normal. I'll admit it will never be the same, but I've learned what I can handle. like I said in another post...I can eat some of the things I used to love...now I know how to set boundaries for myself. You will do the same. just know it does and will get better and you will be happy with the decision.
  2. I think we all try way too soon. I wasn't able to tolerate it until the end of my 3rd month. Just make sure to do small bites and chew really good.
  3. thanks for the encouragement everyone.
  4. I am 5 months out and can eat a slice of pizza without any trouble. i normally get meat lovers for the protein...but I've tried others. I don't do it very often but its nice to feel a little normal and have a slice with friends every once in awhile.
  5. I am 5 months post op. I was 230 and now I'm 156. I am so close to my goal I can taste it.

My Birthday Next Week, Need Ideas

I've been able to eat cake post op....about an one inch by 2 inch piece or the size of a small cupcake. I've had carrot cake and vanilla cake with the whipped topping. I just made sure to eat protein with it. No problems with dumping. I wouldn't recommend it daily....but it was a special occasion like yours. hope that helps! Ps...I'm 4 months post op.

    Fast Food Examples Needed

I'm a little over three months post op and I can do salads just fine with no troubles. I haven't tried a fried type...but I'm sure the grilled salad from Zaxbys would be fine.

    New Here :) 8Yrs Post-Op

I heard Carnie Wilson Phillips is having a revision. I heard her talking on Dr. Oz and she had RNY...and now they are going to put a Lapland around the pouch somehow. I guess there are many ways you can get a revision.
  13. Has anyone had cliff bars or isopure drinks? If so, did you dump with them or have any issues? Are they good? Both has a good amount of protein but I don't want to try another product without someone giving me their take on it. I've wasted so much money trying different protein shakes, drinks, shots, bars. any info would be greatly appreciated!

    Non-Scale Victory!

tonight I went to the gym and during my workout I was able to jog for 10 mins without stopping, slowing down, or being out of breath. I know that doesn't sound like much but I remember a time when I couldn't walk for 5 mins without being exhausted. huge victory for me. I felt like rocky! LOL
