    Antti Depressants

My doctor gave me Wellbutrin and I took it two weeks in. He said it was more important to keep it in my system. Did not affect my weight loss at all (269 to 194 since May 3rd). I think it helped because I didn't deal w depression.
  3. My surgeon required a 10% weight loss also so we didn't have to do a 2 week liquid diet. We just had to do one day of full liquids and one day of clear liquids before surgery.

    Awesome Support Here

I've been to other sites and I honestly have to say that the people who respond here are genuinely kind and welcoming to each other. They offer encouragement and advice w/out being mean about it. Great site!

    Advice

I have Kaiser and they have one of the longest lists of vitamins. I have to take 2 Multi vit, Calcium Citrate + D, B-12, B-1, Iron + C. We were just told to take what's on your surgeon's list in the months leading to surgery.

    Advice

Walk as much as possible! And start your vitamins. It makes your recovery so much easier if you are as healthy as possible going into surgery.

    Scale

There are 28 grams in an ounce. I'm lazy so I have a digital scale that converts for me :~).

    How Much Have You Lost?

I had surgery May 3rd. I have lost 61 lbs since that day and 89 overall (since preop diet).

I'm in Sacramento, CA. My surgeon was Dr. Grinberg at South Sac Kaiser. He is so good.

I Have A Bone To Pick

I am at a facility w three surgeons and they don't even agree w each other. There is just debate between surgeons over what works. I have a hard core surgeon so no rice, no pasta, no caffeine and no carbonation. Forever. I promised myself I would follow his plan and it seems to be working so far.

Whole Wheat Low Carb Tortilla Pizza

    Looks good!!
  13. I am so sorry to hear about your struggle. I would not give up this early. Your body has been through a tremendous shock and everyone responds differently. I would say that, long term, it is physiologically impossible to continue to eat 400-800 cal and not lose weight. Especially w exercise. So whatever you do, don't stop what you're doing. Just stay the course. My favorite saying on this WLS journey is "my race, my pace". Just trust in the process. Good luck.
