I was so excited to be able to eat eggs but have found that they are pretty much the only thing that I can no longer stomach. Just the thought of them makes me kind if nauseous. It's too bad really, because they're so cheap and easy to make! :-(

I am about 4 months out and I know immediatiately when I have eaten too fast or not chewed enough. It literally feels like my food is stuck in my throat and the only way to resolve the psin is to have it come back up. It is the most miserable thing ever! I feel your pain brother! I've found the easiest thing is to not wait more than 3 hours between eating, then I'm not so hungry!

Feeling Guilty, Beating Myself Up
Jen in SoCal posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Today I ate two carne asada tacos and they were big! I only ate one tortilla on one of them (they come wrapped in two) and I ate the meat out of the other. I literally felt like I was going to burst! I was in so much pain afterwards I honestly thought about making myself throw up. I hope I haven't done any permanent stretching to my pouch. -

Thanks ladies! I am over it. I screwed up and I admitted it. Today is a new day and a new opportunity to better myself. Thanks for responding to my confession, slapping me in the face and shaking me by my shoulders...I mean that in a good way of course :-) Don't know what I'd do without the support and advice from this board! -

Feeling Discouraged
Jen in SoCal replied to jeanetteramirez2's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Don't feel bad, you're doing fine. At three weeks post op I had only lost 11 pounds. I lost 15 on my two week preop diet! Surgeons office said I was doing great, as did the nutritionist. Once I started eating purée/soft foods I started dropping 5 pounds a week, which I was told is ideal. Your body may be in starvation mode as you cannot take much in yet. That will change and you will start seeing more results. Congrats on your weight loss so far!! -
Congrats. Hope you have a speedy recovery. :-)

I wear those tanks underneath my clothes that sucks in muffin top. My fiancé says its cheating. I said its no different than wearing a bra. He said that was cheating too...I think he misses me being big and squishy. Now I'm just smaller and squishy :-).

What Do U Miss The Most?

Also from Michigan liked rock n rye and faygo cream soda! Redpop always tasted horrible to me though, same for vernors YUCK! They do sell faygo at Bevmo here on California but its not worth paying what they are charging for it. That stuff was the cheapest pop you could buy! LOL -
You're too funny. It's a perfectly reasonable reaction I think.

I wouldn't be worrying about your credit score right now. That's just your mind making excuses for you. My ex used to always try to plant that seed in my head as well. I decided I would rather be broke and happy then taken care of and miserable. I think your kids would be better off too. They will get used to a life style change if it means everyone will be happy in the long run. Not saying you should go for public housing, just live within your means. Hopefully your teenager will understand and the little ones won't notice much difference. I know it's not much advice, but trust me, I've been in the same exact position as you.

I'm currently sitting in a Starbucks and have already sucked down half of my venti iced skinny vanilla latte. It's HOT outside and it's delicious. Unfortunately I just looked at their nutrition pamphlet and a venti skinny flavored latte has 22 grams of sugar in it! DOH!!!! How is that possible? The vanilla syrup is sugar free. Is it from the nonfat milk? Do you think they're counting the lactose? This is not my first skinny latte since surgery. It doesnt cause me any problems. Can someone shed some light on this for me?

That's terrible. I hope you start to feel better soon.

I had it about a week ago. I ate two. The first one was shrimp, delicious. The second was pork I believe and it made me instantly nauseous. The meat inside was just too fatty for me I guess.

I'm glad you're feeling better. That's a misery I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy!
