Baritric Advantage Website
Jen in SoCal replied to Jen in SoCal's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
Yes, I do the same thing. I pack my vitamins for the day in little plastic containers when I go to work. 75% of the time I come home from work with them untaken. I'm just so busy working I forget. I need to find a solution! -

Yes, I'm terrible about remembering to take my supplements. I know a few people say they set alarms but I can never remember to do that either! LOL :-/ -

I have just 15 pounds to go till I reach my goal. And bit oh boy are they coming off slowly but I have noticed one thing...two it three pounds lost is so much more noticeable now. Imagine losing three pounds from a 211lb body compared to three pounds off a 139lb body. Huge difference! Just look at these last few pounds as the icing on the cake! You have come so far and now is not the time to feel discouraged. You've had awesome results and you look marvelous! -
Mine is too and I think are surgery dates are were very close. I'm really trying not to stress about it but I get so much conflicting advice I'm not sure what to do to make it stop!

Its The Little Things
Jen in SoCal replied to jennamommy's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
OMG your daughter is adorable!!!!! It so awesome to be able to play with your little ones, isn't it? My daughter is 5 and for a few years I avoided taking her to the McDonald's play place because I was afraid I'd have to go in the tunnels after her. Now I just avoided it because their food is garbage and there's nothing there for me to eat! Lol -

A Different "butt" Issue
Jen in SoCal replied to Ellie_Grace's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have the same problem. It started when Iost about 40 pounds. I really can't sit for a long time. Luckily for me ( not really) I stand on my job my whole shift. The really horrible thing for me is, and sorry if it's gross, but I can literally FEEL my tailbone ewwww!!!!! My fiancé commented on how I squirm in my seat now. But I can't help it! It's super uncomfortable. -
Half a piece of chicken.... Ugh darn spell check!

I don't really think a half a price of chicken will cause your liver not to shrink. DON'T STRESS! You're gonna do great! :-)

Why Do I Still Feel Fat?
Jen in SoCal replied to TinyMamiOf3kids's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think you look amazing! We will never look like we did when we were teenagers and we have to come to terms with that. Our bodies change so much after children and sometimes where we carry our weight shifts. In my opinion you are already at a healthy weight and yes, you are damn sexy! You are doing great! -
"uniboob"LOL! You're too cute!
-
Sure, why not? Are you having trouble eating them?

I read the fine print and it days it stop hair "falling" from breakage. That's not my problem, mine is falling out by the roots. I'm going to save my money and not buy it.

Friday Weigh-In!
Jen in SoCal replied to KevinsBabyGirl85's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think I missed weigh in last week. I've lost three pounds since weigh in on Sep 14. It's not much but it's SOMETHING at least. Today I am 156. 21 pounds from goal and 78 pounds lost since last March at my highest weight of 234. I feel like I've lost a lot of inches in those 3 pounds. It's a great feeling. -
I'm five months post op and my hair has REALLY started to fall out. My hair has always been very fine textured but I had a lot of hair. Now it's just a mess. I used to get compliments almost daily because my hair was so shiny and silky. People would literally walk up behind me and stroke my hair at work! Now my hair is dry and dull and getting so thin! Today I decided it was time to color, lots of gray. I had been putting it off because of the condition of my hair so I bought one of the semipermanent colors thinking it might be safe. Wrong! I was startled and horrified to see how much hair was coming out! It literally looked like someone pulled my weave out when I rinsed my hair. I know all the advice, up my protein, take biotin. I'm doing all of that. Ugh!!!!! I'm so frustrated and I feel a little ashamed that this is something I did to myself. I'm wondering, anyone else that's experienced this, will it stop? Will my hair grow back? I guess I'm just looking for a ray of hope here. Skinny and bald is not sexy! LOL!

I just remembered, a word of advice... Don't buy the bariatric advantage shake mix from them. It's so marked up!! You'll pay 75 dollars for what you'll pay 40 on the bariatric advantage website. I learned my lesson the hard way. It's not a hard sell. Just tell them you're not interested.

I got mine for free when I bought some bariatric advantage protein shake mix from my surgeons office. Of course it was $25 dollars more there than on their website so I guess it want really free!
