my right thigh is completely numb, and has been since i cam out of surgery 9/13, to a point i could go lay a tattoo on the whole thing and not feel it AT ALL..i also get tingle down to my toes...

atkins has milk in them and made me sick.. GNC lean is lactose free and i will br trying them in the AM. also Isopure as blue , green red and yellow sweet one out and my friend let me try them they we super sweet like gatorade, I dont care for the isopure vanilla...

i was told the second you start eating carbs like chips it can send you into a binge, so maybe "kale chips" right now i am starving and i am on liquids.. I want real food so bad i ate a pc of cooked brocc and chewed it and spit it out. i just had to taste something, besides protein drinks....good luck

Is anybody else out there STARVING!!!, i had to stop with the atkins Protein drinks as they were milk based and i think i am lactose intolerant/ I also switched from gummy vit to liquid to see if that helps and i bought some gas x, the new protein I am trying to GNC Lean. I am still having pain on the left side and the only thing that takes the pain away is to lay in child pray pose. Also I had made a comment about starting a Facebook page it would be CLOSED GROUP, so that we would be the only one in the group, that way we could all keep in touch and post pic, express how we feel and how we are doing.. how many people on here would be interested? and would you want to kept just for "sept members only"?i know alot of us have jobs that search FB so i dont want to assume everyone would want to join this.. hope everyone is well, god bless and have a great weekend and anyone going to surgery good luck and prayers..

I sleep almost on my stomach.. as it is the only thing that takes my left side pain away..

I'm only one week post OP so I got a long way before mushy..I want real food and mushy will do...

i havent been cleared by the dr to take that yet.. so i dont know if i should even try it?but i cant even tqke my other meds with out being in pain..

yes, and i swear it makes me cry sometimes... i want to get up and just walk but i cant i have to hold on to the sink and just breath, they say it is gas... well then, i better let out a huge "fart" one day that is going to blow up this house.. and I can only to water and protein drinks too... water sometimes makes the pain worse...

Hello Y'all, surgery date 9/13/2013, with complications of collapsed lung so I stay additional days. I am home now, but wondering at what point did everyone pain on the left side go away? I can not drink anything cold at all. or it lays my straight out. mind you I am not taking any pain meds and refused them in the hospital as much as possible. Warm tea seem to agree well, Protein drinks, 2 sips and I''m up walking circles in my house in stabbing pain. I understand it hasn't even been a week yet, but I was just wondering HOW LONG DID YOUR PAIN LAST? thanks a bunch..

Well I may have to go to the store and pick a binder up.the ones I have will be to tight now that I have swelling from surgery.

I gained weight to it will come off in about 3 days. Also the yoga pose child pray pose helps with gas but it put weight on you stomach and you still have a drain..the worst for me is the left side plain which I'm ready to call the Dr about...however I'm glad you are home and well have a blessed day

yeppers, nothing cold for me... and i can get down 1 Protein shake and that is about it. 1 cup of chicken broth and 1 cup of Jello and pudding for the day. and then i sip on sleepy time tea all day long.. I have been dreaming of food.. like meatloaf, hamburgers. etc.. i swear i think i have to go see someone..lol.. be for i wake up and my pillow is gone cuz i dreamed of a marshmallow and ate it..have a wonderful and blessed day..

yeah, ive been coughing, because i ended up with a lung collapsed after surgery so i just think that whole left side is a hot mess...thank you for reply.. have a great day

thank you for your reply, i may have to start taking pain meds, he gave me diualud 2mg q 4hrs. i just hated taking meds like that.. put i may have no other choice.. you surgery date was on my birthday... lol

when i go in for my 1 week post op I will ask for a brace, as we use to give them to our pt after surgery all the time.. i just didnt thing to ask him for one when i left the hospital.. thanks for the information...and some gas x

glad your wound is healing.. i tried to walk to the mail box which is 10 houses away up hill, yeah, not such a good idea..lol.. i thought i wonder if i could ride my dog like a horse back to the house?... take care

it will be ok, take some music with you to listen to. make sure you bag it packed, i went and got a pedicure and my eyebrows done they day before surgery and hair cut and colored just to get my mind off of it.. we will all be waiting for you on the losers bench...

OMG, i just posted the same question on the POST forum,.LOL.. so lets see what people reply with, even though my surgery is only 6 days out, now i have something to go by... and now I wanna cry.. I cant drink anything COLD, it will lay out... warm tea it fine.. and the pain it stabbing and it is not gas.. what else did he say to do? i have found i have to lay on a heating pad on my stomach, my husband said i cant beileve you can lay on your stomach... it is the only way i can sleep. also are you able to eat anything.. i am so hungry and i cant drink a protien shake to save my life..it kills my left side..2 sips im done
