I'm back in the hospital again...been here since Thursday. Had endoscopy #3 done yesterday.....back on the clear liquids diet. I just wanna feel better. I'm regretting having the surgery. Sorry just being honest

I AM IN A VENTING MOOD THIS MORNING. BRIEF SUMMARY. I HAD MY GASTRIC BYPASS MARCH 22ND. FROM DAY ONE I HADCOMPLICATIONS. AS OF LATE, ITS BEEN THESE "STRICTURES. I'VE HAD 3 UPPER G.I. EXAMS TWO ENDOSCOPYS GOTTEN MY POUCH EXPANDED TWICE AND I'M SCHEDULED TO HAVE IT DONE AGAIN IN ABOUT 2 WEEKS. I HAVE A CONSTANT. SORE THROAT FROM THE ALWAYS JAMMING A CAMERA DOWN THERE TO "LOOK AROUND". I FEEL WEAK AND JITTERY FROM NOT EATING...MAINLY JUST STAYING DYDRATED WITH FLUIDS. DURING MY MOST RECENT ENDOSCOPY (FRIDAY APRIL 27TH) THEY DISCOVERED I ALSO HAVE AN ULCER. ON TOP OF THAT MY 1ST POST SURGERY MENSTRAL CYCLE IS WORSE THAN EVER! THESE SO CALLED "CRAMPS" FEEL MORE LIKE CONTRACTIONS! (I HAVE 4 CHILDREN SO TRUST ME I'M WELL AWARE OF WHAT CONTRACTIONS FEEL LIKE) SLEEPING IS RARE BC I'M ALWAYS EXPERIENCING SOME SORT OF PAIN AND DISCOMFORT! I AM SO FRUSTRATED RIGHT NOW LIKE SERIOUSLY.

I can't honestly say I've felt good one day since surgery and that was 6 weeks ago

I don't have the lapband so idk

I had a dr's appoint and I'm 369 today

Thank you Vamp. I saw the surgeon today and he assured me that things will get better. They just need to treat my ulcer and get the stricture to remain opened. Panda....thank you so much. I did say the words out loud and I decree and declare perfect and complete healing by Jesus' strips! I will stand on his word and promises! Thank you all so much!

Thanks everyone. It seems to be something new everyday. Now I have pain in my neck and my throat feels tighter and tighter ever day. Tiny sips of water 3-4 times a day is all I can tolerate. I doubt if I drink 8 ounces a day now-a-days. I feel like I'm being punished for healing. I'm sure eventually they'll get it right but the way it feels now I'm wishing I never did it or that they could reverse it.

Mamiof3, A good support system is imperitve when having a surgery like this. Its like changing n the road ahead post op is a difficult one. Idk what I would do if I didn't have the support of my husband. In fact he's going through the process as well. If he wants you healthy and to be around for the 3 kids, he needs to be supportive. Good luck to everyone who is having the surgery. Its definitely a lifestyle change and takes some getting use to. I'm 5 and a half weks post op

I've been hearing a lot of awful stuff about the lap band. My Dr said they may do away with that procedure altogether over the next few yrs. The gastric bypass has the most successful results. Have you considered The Gastric sleeve? Its in between them both

You're welcome. I'm glad that all is now going well. Everyones body is different so try not to get frustrated. It will melt away before you know it

Yea 3 or 4 times is what they told me yesterday but the nurse said she once saw a patient that had to have it done 8 times! They also discovered an ulcer while doing the endocopy. I have to have it repeated in 2 weeks!

I can definitely relate....seriously. I want this repaired asap. They better check everything bc I'm 5 weeks post op and this is so not cool. I'm glad to hear that you are doing much better. That's awesome!

What do you use for protein? All the ones I tried upset my stomach or were super gross/thick. So I haven't been taking anything

I haven't weighed one anything since I was a teen...or even 2 anything....man I can't wait to see those kinds of results. I'm hoping I don't have a lot of loose sagging skin though

When I took my meds today they were hard going down. That's a sign that there's another stricture developing. I'll know for sure tomorrow after they repeat the endoscopy

How long post op did y'all re-introduce solid foods into your regular diet?

My second on is scheduled for tomorrow at 10:30. I was feeling much better but I threw up Tuesday (which was my birthday) n yesterday so idk what's going on. I have good and bad days. I do know that they said I should not still be vomiting 5 weeks post op. I just wanna feel better...feel normal...

Ikr.....trying to be so careful what to eat and what not to I nearly sent my body into starvation mode! Vamp its been difficult but I'm sure it will all be worth it in the long run

I have a schedule too I guess but a lot of that stuff I don't eat. Like everyone keeps saying cottage cheese is so good but just the look of it turns my stomach. Its weird. I've been just kinda trying things on my own. Some things work and some don't. I just wanna get over the hump and feel regular again. I deal with a lot of nausea and vomiting and its horrible
