Wow thanks so much Michelle! I so appreciate it! I was talking to hubby about these weird feelings and he was like he would rather be healthy than be sad about cake. I understand but it's more about the feelings associated with just having it for my bday. I can't wait to find this and try it out! Thanks friend!!

Wow Jen! That was a great story! I appreciate u for the encouraging words. Thank u for the compliments and yes I will be so happy that the weight is falling off instead of gorging food like I used to also. It is true everyone that has this surgery will be faced with food mourning and it's all in how u look at it. I am happy that there are options for my birthday cake(sugar free) and whats funny....that's the only time I eat cake all yr!! And I'm a crying baby over it! Ha! Thanks for all the comments guys, I truly feel better and the count down begins! ☺☺????????

Hi!! My date is also July 11!! I'm so nervous about the preop diet!! My hub is having his surg tues and it is hard. Seriously like I am going to try my best to be strict and not cheat but I heard u have headaches the first couple of days. I'm truly excited and scared!! I don't want to fail! Not an option. Hi all! I love this site and all of you folks on here! Our surgery date is coming fast!! I'm excited nervous hey y'all know the fellings! Hubby surgery is June 26. I'm July 11. We are doing our journey together ). We have been married for 12 years and we r still called newlyweds sometimes! Lol I love my husband so much and I'm so happy we will have each other thru this journey. I worry for him a little because he doesn't cook but he is ready to learn. We will have some cooking classes tomoro and the next day (he doesn't know yet) but I wanna make some puréed recipes and try them out. We r purée for 6wks after surg! Are there any other couples out there that did this together and also if u were not a cook how did u make it thru we're there any help u can offer with me trying to teach hubby how to cook. Thanks rny buddies!

He is doing good I just think he might have some meltdowns and it is to be expected. He will be out of town for work for like 4 days then a few days later surgery. He has stocked up on fruit and soup but I kno it will be tough. I'm so not looking forward to my preop but it starts a day after his surg. It's weird how I feel almost like a little sad about this divorce with food I'm having and hubby is having. I'm sure this is normal. But I never thought that bein responsible for what I put in my mouth is so tough. I have done my rounds and there truly is nothing else that I wanna eat "one last time" before surgery. I think I've had it all. I've been off drinks for about a month now and I tasted a sprite over the weekend and it was so strong. So I kno I'm doing great when it comes to that. Subway, soup or lean quesine are my working gotta eat choices. And after surgery I will have my prepacked puréed foods. Wish me luck! I'm kinda overprotective and worry about my hubby and me too much. Thanks for being there to listen to me.

Good morning! I have my preop this am and I could hardly sleep last night. Surg scheduled for july 11 and I guess I feel time is rolling. Wish me luck today! I think I'm a little worried they will tell me my iron is low. I have been taking my pills but I hope everything will be fine.

I purchased the ninja! Much better to me because u can get one for like 30$ at Walmart but u can make anything! Blend soups, smoothies, meat, etc! It is very powerful too! I highly recommend that.

I think it stats in system like 2 wks-1 month so be careful

Goodie it's over. Well all they did was ask every medical question they could then took a lot of blood, then chest X-ray, EKG. That is all. Only took an hr n half. My surg is July 11. Now butterflies begin...
