  1. I didn't lose anything between 3 and 4 and then I lost the next few weeks and then I didn't lose anything again between week 6 and 7.

    It's definitely frustrating!

I am totally seeing a correlation too with my cycle. I guess I really retain a lot of Fluid in the week leading up to my TOM.

  2. I guess it's true what they say huh? Everything happens for a reason!

On another note, I have a good friend who lives in Brooklyn and I went to NYC and visited her there. I went to her tree lighting ceremony and then a party at a local church there. She decorates a big tree every year with the lights set to music and stuff in one of the parks. Anyway, we went to eat dinner that night at a restaurant called Peaches. I absolutely LOVE that place. Have you ever been there?

  3. NtvTXN....I was told to not even worry about Protein the first week. I wasn't allowed Protein Shakes until day 5 and they had to be mixed with Water. In fact, at my one week post op appt. the nutritionist told me I was trying to be an over-achiever and that they do NOT expect you to get it all in while you're on Clear Liquids.< /p>

I'd concentrate on staying hydrated and slowly work your way up to building your protein intake.

  4. No but I'm 6.5 weeks out and feel the same. I have no energy to exercise. I get home from work and some days I'll take a nap for an hour or so.

I'm taking my Vitamins, getting in all my Protein plus some usually, getting in my fluids, etc.

Just had my labs done last week and all my Vitamin levels were good.

I don't know..maybe it's just taking us a little longer than others to rebound.

  5. Hi April sleevers!!

It's so good to hear from some of you.

I'm doing great...I'm down 29 lbs since surgery and 53 lbs off my high weight in the middle of March. As of about 2 weeks ago I had lost 24.5 inches. I can see it in my face but that's about it. Other people are definitely noticing. I'm still wearing the same clothes though for the most part...I guess most of my pants were getting pretty tight before and now they're pretty loose. I did wear a pair of pants the other day that I haven't been able to fit into in over 2 years. I love those pants which is why I've held on to them..lol

I have yet to find any food that doesn't agree with me. But I do need to learn to eat slower and to learn how to not take that last bite that overfills me. I think slowing down will help that.

Oh and I'm not really exercising. My back went out a few weeks ago and it's still not back to my normal..which is to say it still hurts but I'm functionable. Still a lot of things I can't do. I'm trying to swim as much as possible.

I love my sleeve and so far so good!

  6. Good luck my friend! By now you are on your way...

Can't wait to hear from you after surgery.

    It will be fine.

I think you should be prepared to stop very often to get out and walk around a bit during that long drive home. You might even want to get some of the compression socks to wear while driving..you don't want to risk a blood clot.

    *hugs*
