Congratulations...I'm glad you came through without any complications!
Welcome to the "other side".

I guess it's true what they say huh? Everything happens for a reason!
On another note, I have a good friend who lives in Brooklyn and I went to NYC and visited her there. I went to her tree lighting ceremony and then a party at a local church there. She decorates a big tree every year with the lights set to music and stuff in one of the parks. Anyway, we went to eat dinner that night at a restaurant called Peaches. I absolutely LOVE that place. Have you ever been there?

Yes you can REALLY tell a big difference!
-
Hey sleeve buddy...you're looking great!
I'm still 10 lbs behind you....no fair!

NtvTXN....I was told to not even worry about Protein the first week. I wasn't allowed Protein Shakes until day 5 and they had to be mixed with Water. In fact, at my one week post op appt. the nutritionist told me I was trying to be an over-achiever and that they do NOT expect you to get it all in while you're on Clear Liquids.< /p>
I'd concentrate on staying hydrated and slowly work your way up to building your protein intake.

Zephra....congrats on a successful surgery.
Sorry you weren't feeling so great...I hope you feel better soon!

oh Maddie...I'm so sorry about the trouble you've had!
We were just talking about you in chat the other night.
I'm glad you're ok!
I'll be keeping you in my prayers.

How much fluids are you getting in each day? Calories? Are you counting your carbs? Can you tell us what kind of things you're eating on a daily basis?
-
Thank you so much for the update! I've been thinking about her all day!
Give her hugs from us.

I take a Vitamin D Supplement as my D level was low pre-op. It's not low anymore..it's well into the normal range.
-
I wish I had gotten a DVD...I think that would be pretty cool to see.
-
Congratulations! Sounds like you're doing great!
How many calories are you getting in each day? Are you counting carbs?
-
No but I'm 6.5 weeks out and feel the same. I have no energy to exercise. I get home from work and some days I'll take a nap for an hour or so.
I'm taking my Vitamins, getting in all my Protein plus some usually, getting in my fluids, etc.
Just had my labs done last week and all my Vitamin levels were good.
I don't know..maybe it's just taking us a little longer than others to rebound.

Nice job!
Congrats on your success!

Jane...that's wonder and good luck!
Di you ever think a few years ago that you would be doing something like that?
I know for me it is completely unfathomable!

Hi April sleevers!!
It's so good to hear from some of you.
I'm doing great...I'm down 29 lbs since surgery and 53 lbs off my high weight in the middle of March. As of about 2 weeks ago I had lost 24.5 inches. I can see it in my face but that's about it. Other people are definitely noticing. I'm still wearing the same clothes though for the most part...I guess most of my pants were getting pretty tight before and now they're pretty loose. I did wear a pair of pants the other day that I haven't been able to fit into in over 2 years. I love those pants which is why I've held on to them..lol
I have yet to find any food that doesn't agree with me. But I do need to learn to eat slower and to learn how to not take that last bite that overfills me. I think slowing down will help that.
Oh and I'm not really exercising. My back went out a few weeks ago and it's still not back to my normal..which is to say it still hurts but I'm functionable. Still a lot of things I can't do. I'm trying to swim as much as possible.
I love my sleeve and so far so good!

Good luck my friend! By now you are on your way...
Can't wait to hear from you after surgery.
It will be fine.
I think you should be prepared to stop very often to get out and walk around a bit during that long drive home. You might even want to get some of the compression socks to wear while driving..you don't want to risk a blood clot.
*hugs*

Yay..it's about time huh??? lol
Congrats and best wishes for a smooth and speedy recovery.

Congratulations and welcome to the "other side".
I'm glad everything went well..and wish you a speedy recovery!

My nut said around 50 but I'm doing the 30/day.
Some days it's a few under..some days it's a few over.

I think you also need to address your mental issues with food or the sleeve is not going to work for you. It's not a magic tool to make you skinny. You need to fix the problems too!
I'm glad you went to the ER and I"m glad you had the wakeup call.
I hope you feel better soon and good luck to you.

I didn't lose anything between 3 and 4 and then I lost the next few weeks and then I didn't lose anything again between week 6 and 7.
It's definitely frustrating!
I am totally seeing a correlation too with my cycle. I guess I really retain a lot of Fluid in the week leading up to my TOM.
