Only happened in my dreams.....

How exciting!! I can't wait for that day to get here! Congrats you're doing great! -
Well...I had pretty much come to the conclusion after the past two months that I just don't lose anything in the 2nd half of the month. From the time I ovulate until a few days into my period, I'm pretty much at a stall. So I was expecting the same thing this month. I'm right around ovulation time and for the past 4-5 days the scale didn't budge. I also got very constipated again. Night before last I took two dulcolax and nothing happened. Last night I took 2 more and finally it worked a little bit this morning. But before it worked, I weighed myself and dropped EIGHT POUNDS! That's the biggest drop I've seen yet. I thought...this can't be right. I got on the scale 3 more times and I even picked it up and moved it to a different location and tried again. Yep, still a drop of 8 lbs. I did take a diurex (fluid pill) last night. Maybe it's Water retention? I did buy some Miralax and my plan is to add is to my daily smoothies but I'm a damned blonde and I keep forgetting! I think if I could remember that maybe the whole constipation thing wouldn't get so bad. Anyway, I just wanted to share my weird experiences..lol :001_tongue:

Hi HD, Yes, I try to stay around 30 g of carbs per day. Occasionally I might go a few over..but usually I'm under. -
Congrats...good loss!

I either have a scrambled egg, a Protein shake, or sometimes I have an Atkins AdvantEdge bar. I'm not really crazy about eating breakfast bars like that but I'm not a big breakfast eater so I'm trying to make a conscious decision to eat SOMETHING before around 10:00 am. I found myself falling into my old routine of only drinking coffee in the morning and not having anything until 1-2 in the afternoon and I know that's not good for me. So I'm trying...

It's Unbelievable
goodlife replied to lbourgeoisjr's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's wonderful! Did you lose that much since your surgery or was some of that from a pre-op diet? -
Is this too much food 3 1/2 weeks out?
goodlife replied to Morgandobes's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think you will really begin to notice your restriction when you begin to eat more dense foods like chicken or beef or fish. That's how it was for me. -
ok this might sound stupid but do you think these secretions/mucus could be allergy releated? Since developing seasonal allergies about 5 yrs ago I almost constantly have a little post nasal drip in the back of my throat..sometimes worse than others. When it's bad I often get sinus headaches.

goodlife replied to Calgarygirl's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My PCP was very supportive and knew that losing the weight would cure my other health issues. I went to see her for a checkup last week and she was super impressed with my progress and my labs. Good luck to you! -
woohoo Anna...isn't that exciting?

Calling all (TGVP) people!!! new procedure
goodlife replied to joyfuljoy's topic in Gastric Plication Surgery Forum
possum...I asked my surgeon about this procedure (they call is POSE and do it incisionlessly) when he touched on it briefly in the seminar. They only recommend it for people who have less than 100 lbs to lose...more around the 50 lb range. Louisiana Incisionless Weight Loss Surgery -
Holy crap! That's amazing loss. Can you give us some of the details about what you're doing? Are you logging your food? Are you counting calories? Carbs? Exercising?
-
Take the time to get to know me
goodlife replied to mellifrits's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I agree Tiffany that perhaps marketing this procedure as a "super sleeve" is misleading. They should stick to what it is....gastric plication to avoid any confusion. Here is a link to my surgeon's website about this procedure...they call it the POSE procedure. They call it the incisionless weight loss surgery but it was only in clinical trials and they only do it for people who do not have a lot to lose. Louisiana Incisionless Weight Loss Surgery Tiff I read one of your other posts about this procedure and I agree with you that I would be concerned with the true reversibility of this procedure. I can't imagine that something that is sutured for any length of time wouldn't have some scar tissue or what not. I think it's a good idea to have a sub forum for this procedure. I'm sure more and more people are going to start having this mainly because it's supposedly reversible. -
Yeah I'm still learning that....still working on slowing down eating.

I have a couple...woohoo 1. I have a collarbone. A real bone! 2. I'm wearing a pair of blue jeans today that I haven't been able to fit into in about 3-4 yrs. I started out wearing a pretty snug 24 and these jeans are an 18. 3. I've lost a total of 41 inches since surgery. 4. I walked past my 15 yr old daughter the other day and she did a double take and said..wow mom you look skinny! I have more...but they're from my husband and kinda vulgar...LOL Life is good.
