  1. Three weeks post op and I have started walking. Third time this week so far. Going just a little over a mile a day which constitutes two laps around my apt complex. I'm gonna shoot for three starting next week and the gym.

    Concerned

    Thanks everyone.
  3. Ok so I am three weeks post op. Own worried about the pouch possibly stretching. It just seems I've been able to eat more than the "egg" size that I was told. I'm struggling with the habit of drinking while eating and still working on correcting that. That being said, am I just washing the food through or could I have very well stretched the pouch and sabotaged myself? Anyone else ever in this predicament?

    Just Wondering

Well just got in from the doctor. He gave me the green light for the gym just to take it easy. Woohoo so happy.
  5. I've got one and use it everyday. Works like a charm and easy.
  6. DL, walmart has a GE brand "bullet mixer" for I think around $20. Might be an option for ya.
  7. My wife had the band a couple years ago.

    Just Wondering

This is probably a question I should ask my doctor but I just wanted some input from others. At what point do you think it would be safe to lift weights? I'm not talking about machines or lifting to tone up, I mean stuff with free weights (squats, deadlifts, bench presses etc.). I used to lift a lot years back and enjoyed every bit of it and anxiously wanting to get back into it. No I don't expect to go all out and kill myself in the gym, gotta work up to that.

    Friday Weigh-In!

starting weight: 386 pre op: 363 current: 353
  10. Well this past Monday was my surgery. Everything went excellent, no problems at all. Went home on Weds and surprisingly I've been able to get up and move around on my own with no problems. I thank God everything went good and gotta give a shout out to Dr. Albert Spaw at Baptist Hospital here in Nashville. Ready rock and roll....

    Question

During the pre op, actually towards the end of it, did any of you find yourself to be on edge? Today my wife, friends, and I went to the mall and decided to grab a bite. Well, we all wound up at Macaroni Grille. I was in there maybe three minutes and just got up and left. I dunno if it was my nerves but I couldn't sit there and bear to watch them eat. Has anyone ever felt this? I never thought I would feel this way about anything bit geez.....
  12. The clock is ticking. In less than twenty four hours I will have had my surgery. Excited and scared at the same time.

    Hello Everyone.

Starting weight 386, down to 361.8 as of today. I've had a couple flubs on the pre op diet just praying I haven't sabotaged anything.

Ugh! The Wait Is Killing Me

The hurdles you have to jump through really sucks but they want you to be sure you know what you're getting into. It'll be here before you know it.
