Ok. This is a little embarrSsing to ask but we' re all going thru the same thing and we are here to help eachother. One issue that I have had trouble with since day 1 is CONSTIPATION! I hate it. I understand that its not like before obviously, because we are not intaking as much, but its all bad for me. After a few days I feel super bloated. Has anyone experienced the same issue? If so what has helped you? Sweet

Be Sure To Take Measurements!
sweet replied to Txsmama's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Bilal, Directly after the procedure, yeah... Your chest will hurt as soon as u awake from the surgery. But immediately you will be given pain meds. I only needed them the first day or two. When i went home I didn't need any pain meds. But then again, everyone's tolerance for pain is different. Sweet -
Feeling Of Food Sitting In Throat?
sweet replied to jemjem's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I still feel that way, I just am more aware of when it happens now. It will happen if I eat or drink too fast, or if i dnt chew enough. You guys might have a different issue Idk, but hope u guys feel better soon! I know it sucks Sweet -
Feeling Of Food Sitting In Throat?
sweet replied to jemjem's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think that feeling is normal, especially in the early stages. The feeling of chest pains or "food stuck" is just our bodies telling us we are now full, and need to stop eating. Sweet -
Wow! I would have liked to get that. Sweet

Thanks I'll email u:) Sweet

Thanks! Sometimes we need reassurance. I'm sure you're right. Sweet

Omg! Thank you so much for answering my questions. You have no idea how much you have helped me. I get that chest pain often, but mostly because i eat to fast or I dnt chew enough. I have two toddlers that need my constant attention, and even when I'm eating slow it doesn't add up to 20 mins. I really have to work on that :/ -sweet

Hmm... Just turned 9 weeks today, and nope! Still can't tolerate chicken It might still be too soon, Idk. Vamplover85 your a little further post op then me, I was wondering do you still measure your food? Approximently how oz. Do you consider a meal before you start feeling full at the stage you are at now? The reason I ask is because I feel like I may be eating to much. For instance I will eat nutts and I stop when I'm full but the " full" feeling I feel is similar to a chest pain. Or food stuck in my throat. I just dnt want to stretch my stomach... I'm still pretty new at learning to read my own body, when its telling me to stop eating... lOl. -sweet

Oh my.. I completely feel you on the weird cycle thing. I have an IUD so my periods went away but right after the surgery I got my period, after almost 2 years! It was weird, but they went away again! Yay! It's probably from all the sudden drastic changes going on with our bodies... -sweet

Negative People Around Me...
sweet replied to Jessica89's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story

Negative People Around Me...
sweet replied to Jessica89's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Oh btw... I'm 9 weeks post op, and hmmm... I wanna know what post op ppl eat too! Lol jk. Each surgeon is different. For sure you will be on Protein for a few months. A liquid diet for atleast 2 weeks maybe more depending on your surgeon. Mine had me on liquids until I was 7 weeks post op. I'm barely beginning to introduce foods to my diet, but its not a fun process. So it really depends on how well your body reacts and how well it begins to tolerate healtier foods again. Hope it answers some questions -sweet -
Pain In Chest After I Swallow ?

Negative People Around Me...
sweet replied to Jessica89's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Oh wow.. where have I been! I completely missed out on this topic. But anyhow Jessica, there are many reasons why people react negatively to someone having this surgery, weather it is envy or plain ignorance. Have you actually explained the procedure to your family? Let them know you want to live a healthy life. And even suggest they do the same so that they can be healthy as well. Regardless of what they say and think, you are your own person, and as long as you are committed and your husband is going to be there to support you then that is all you really need. Everyone else will learn to except it after the fact. I wish you the best with your decision. Good luck! -sweet -
Congrats! I love your motto! -sweet

Hehehe!.... Men... Smh! It's so funny there reaction to things that are so "simple" to THEM, yet so stressful to us women. Sometimes they just dnt understand. Boys will be boys :/ -sweet

I have a few questions for all you guys that are post op... I see a lot of ppl posting about what they eat even as early as a few days post op. I'm soon to be 9 weeks post op and I just begain to eat "real" food about 2 weeks ago. But seems like when I eat I either dnt lose weight or I will gain back a pound. Vs. When i was on my liquid diet I was dropping weight like crazy. The problem is now I actually get hungry :/ I usually will eat an egg for dinner with some crumbled fat free feta cheese. I'm not sure what the problem is. But I been at -52 lbs for about a week and a half. -sweet

Oh boy! I'm gonna do the same. It is torturous!
