Just think you will be thin for your 30's.I only wish I knew about this at your age Iam 36 and looking forward to be a slender 40 year old.You have made such a good choice. You will be young enough to wear all those lovely cloths that are out.You make sure you do wear all those cloths that people say fancy wearing something like that.THEY WILL BE JEALOUS. All the best of luck...

Hi Trish S and all, I have to say that Iam putting on evey day...What the hell I am 100% sure that Iam going to loose so I have been having all the things I have been having in moderation and enjoying as I won't have the chance again. The best thing is I know I won't have them so I enjoy and am happy to say a some what good bye.I have even started riding my bike everwhere so when all the nosey mother marfias at the school start to notice the weight loose I shall be able to hold my head up high and lie.Yes lie through my teeth. It's the bike riding doing it.As they all think that if you don't put lots of sweat and tears into weight lose you don't deserve credit. But to you all like myself we all know it's going to be hard the longerst I have only ever had liquids is on a 24hr drinking bing,so the thought for 6 weeks terrifies me .Iam sure that will be harder than any going to gym and working out.The only thing the gym has brought me is three pregnancies and 4 children.Thats right I start at the gym and fall pregers. Good luck guys and when you are haveing all those liquids just thinks there are loads of us out there with you learning to enjoy being slimmer, All the best Annette

How do you feel about kids banded?
one too many replied to princess_n_thep's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Apparently there is a study going on in Australia involving children being banded. It will be very interesting to see what the results are.Personally the kids out there are generally alot bigger than when we were kids anyway,so the really chubby ones are even fatter than the fat kids when we were kids.I totally agree with banding children, however it should be done on individual bases and medical reasons only.Kids are also maturing alot earlier too. It's scarey when I see young people bigger than myself now....(.2 marriages and 4 kids later) what will these kids turn out like without intervention. -
If you go and get your fill, I would say you won't be able to eat just what you want so it will be easier break the cycle.Therfor you will be able to recommit yourself. This band is a tool.Use it or you won't loose it.(weight that is) You know how to do it as you have done so well so far.We all have bad days ..take stock ...refocus get filled. The very best of luck.

Thanks Trish and all other banders..As like everyone else I have been visiting this site for some time.Iam not very good with pounds as we were brought up with Kgs.Working on 2.2 pounds to the kg I need too loose approx 30kg.If not more if I could.I know it is successful as a very close friend of mine has lost 70kg in the last two years.Iam very proud of her as without hasrd work the last 10kgs wouldn't have come off that easily.I have decided not to tell anyone other than DH, mum and my close friend. Some will guess as I spoke about it last year and got a earfull from the..But I decided that Iam a grown up and don't have to justify my self to anyone.WOW It has taken along time to just get that far. Best of luck and I look forward to seeing our progress....

Hi All, Iam being banded on 27th April,Perth Western Australia by I might say by a lovely Dr Watson. This Has been some what all consuming not unlike being told you are expecting.I decided over 12months ago this is what I wanted but have had to wait for insurances to mature. So for me this is almost as exciting as when I went in for C sections and life changing as well. However hopefully it will change my shape for the better....4 kids later. a little sagger and so on I won't go into too much detail. I look forward to a healthier me ...arm pits, non rubbing inner thighs, cooler summers, one chin, ankles, wedding rings back on my finger and one day maybe a tummy ring????? Looking forward and cheers to you all. Annette

Relationships after Banding
one too many replied to thechatrooper's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Well guys you are all right however. As I have not yet been banded but soon to be...I have to say when I have lost at least some of my excess if Iam not getting loads more shagging/attention Iwill not be a happy bunnie. As you can see this is one of the perks I believe to loosing weight.MORE SEX.Men need sex and I have always felt yes my DH loves me but sex was more to do when he needed it other than when he my fancy it.If you understand what I mean.Therefor my hope is if I look sexier, feel sexier it had better bring more.If not I shall be pretty pee'ed off. -
Fancy wanting to eat spotted dick..Is that not the reason you have had the band in the first place? Next will it be toad in the hole for your next dinner.I say this with a huge smile on my face as these are the reasons that Iam awaiting the Band.I would like to know being an aussie last which lived in surrey for many years where did you have your band done? As if you are still in the UK I still have friends over there that would be interested as they have had little success with slimming world

when you have forgotten what your bits look like. When you use public loo's and are unable to shut the door behind without leaning over the loo. When you don't recognise the the reflection in the mirror. When you sweat in other places other than the arm pits. When you got to Rod Stewart Concert and change seatswith hubby because he is skinner and it's a bit quashy if you sit with chubby girlfriend.Poor Hubby.
