I was in 2 nights had a swallow test day after surgery. I had to get down 4 medicine cups an hr of water every hr in order to go home. Couldn't but they didn't know that I'm doing good though. They said I'll return to work in a month and I do extremely heavy lifting! But we will see bc I think it should be longer

Thank u! How did u all do it it? I can't get a lot in its kinda depressing! Lol yet I needed this surgery for a reason.... So it's a good thing! This surgery Is giving us all another chance in life. But I'm finding it so hard when my kids and hubby are all chowing down on food and I have half a jello and can't do no more. I know not much longer and I can eat its just hard right now.

I'm on liquids and inna week can start puréed can't wait!! I'm gonna have tuna with a lil low fat mayo!

Ey everyone how are yas?! Well I am five days out from surgery and about to go to the cape may zoo... I hope I don't regret this!! Do u all think this is a bad idea? I know I'm suppose to walk but this isn't like going around the block u know. Well imma gonna try and drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated wish me luck!

Ha ha ha I got a scooter so I can walk or ride when I want and not slow my ppl down lol when I don't ride my hubby does hes havin a lil to much fun -

That all sounds so good I'm literally mourning food and miss is so much but in less then 2 weeks I can start purée in which I plan on having tuna chicken n turkey with some low fat mayo!!

Hello everyone! Here's a good protein shake app I have on my iPhone I don't know what other providers have but try and find everything sounds great just check with ur drs if ur allowed a lot of the fruits that are in a majority of them!! Called shakes of the day! 100s of shakes ideas hope this helps some ppl I know it will me!!

Good luck!! It is a major difference!! I had mine on Thursday I still do not wanna eat or drink but am forcing myself u know so u don't get dehydrated lol kin of important! Lol hope everything works out well for you!! -
Have to get four medicine cups of water down in one hr in order to go home and right now can barely get one down.. I'm thirsty I just feel full! This is weird. Can't stand the smell of food or looks of it right now makes me nauseas. Hope I get to go home even though enjoying the cable and air conditioning!!

It's weird I've had 2 c sections and gallbladder removed and never had pain like this! And yes walking lil bits at a time hurts. I also just had an hr long ride from the hospital that was bumpy that prolly had something to do with it too. This one just does not feel like its getting better like the others but everyone is saying give it a week. So we will see.

Ow in the post op club! Had surgery yesterday n hurting sooooo freaking bad!!! N just want a sip of water bad! Please tell me everyone foes it get easier quickly?
