I drink milk with no problems. I was told before surgery that it is possible to become lactose intolerant after surgery. But even if I did it could just be temporary.

I am 9 weeks out tried atkins bars but can only eat half at a time.

This surgery is not the easy way out. In most ways its harder than dieting. One day food tastes good the next (same food) not so much. It irritates me when people say that and judge. Walk in my shoes with my health problems and maybe you can judge me. Sorry just venting, just had this conversation yesterday.... -

Peoples comments can be so hurtful. It's really sad they have to make comments like that. I have had my share too. It amazes me how they can say things like that, things I'd never say in a million years. -

I agree popsicles do help my thirst. Just water never seems to quench my thirst. It kinda stinks to be thirsty all the time.

My doc said would probably close to the year mark....

I'm 7 weeks post op. I have same problem. My doc said its because all the extra water in your body is gone. He said it would eventually even itself out once your body adjusts.

When I got mine stuck doctor told me to drink 6 ozs of warm water mixed with a teaspoon of adolfs meat tenderizer. Throwing up was no problem after that for me.
