Hello All- New To Forum
Mtjoymom3 replied to Sunflwr76's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
First off Welcome I agree with checking your b12 lvls I know from some books I've read that the lack of energy can happen because your body is not use to the lack of food but than switchs over to burning fat for fuel. But that normally kicks in 3-4 wks out and I don't believe it should last this long. Please keep us posted on the progress and what the md says if I come across anything that may help I'll be sure to let you know.. -
Friday Weigh-In!
Mtjoymom3 replied to KevinsBabyGirl85's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can't even imagine what it must be like I know that its hard enough for me to eat just because I'm not hungry let alone being sick! It's crazy in one aspect I love the feeling of being in control over my hungar and eating but than eating is more of a chore now lol. I hope you get to feelin' better -

Friday Weigh-In!

This is such a great idea!! I'm one of the biggest offenders when it comes to jumping on and off that scale lol I'd find my self weighing in everytime I set foot in the bathroom so this is going to take some serious self restraint lol better yet I'm gonna hide that scale and only bring it out on fridays Pre-surg wt 3/23 319lbs 3/26 Date of Surg 3/30 309.5lbs 4/6 302lbs 4/13 298.6lbs 4/20 forgot to write down 4/27 294.0lbs -
Post Op Update And Mental Hunger
Mtjoymom3 replied to YoungNY's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey YoungNy first off congrats on your surgery And I have to admit that I believe the hardest part of all this is the mental games that play out. two weeks prior to my surgery I was suppose to only have liquids like broths,jello...etc and I went four days no problem but then day five came and I broke down and eat a sandwhich I felt awful and the only thing keeping me from attacking that pantry the next day and the day after was hanging a beautiful little sun dress I got that I sure as heck can't fit now but plan on wearing in the very near future but that little thing is blocking that door. I understand and I send you good vibs -
I'm so happy for you and by now I bet you've left 12lbs in the dust it's such a wonderful feelings to see the numbers going down and knowing that it's for real and that our journey is just beginning

Tomorrow Is The Big Day!
Mtjoymom3 replied to Txsmama's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hey Txmama congrats on your big day!! I know the sunday before mine I did everything I could laundry spring cleaning anything just anything to keep my eyes off the clock which at that point was moving at snail pace lol or so it seemed. I was the first case monday so that meant the hubby and I had to be up by 0400 and so we laid down about 9pm and I laid there for at least two hours praying and crying thanking my lucky stars that I had made it.....up until that point I wouldn't let my gaurd down or get excited about any check point I had overcome heck even when I got the approval letter I was still kinda numb.....I guess I was so scared that something would go wrong and I wouldn't be able to have it done but if we just keep pushing forward our dreams will come true So, good luck tomorrow and congrats again I'm super happy for you -

Mtjoymom3 replied to JustFluffy's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Hello everyone I just wanted to add that I had my RNY surgery on 3.26.12 with Dr. Robert J. Chastanet at Chesapeake Regional in Chesapeake VA. My recovery thus far has been soooooo much better than I had expected! Thus far, the only real complaint I have is man do the meds taste awful but it's a small price to pay considering the end result right -
Hey Txsmama woo hoo can't wait to welcome ya were abouts you moving to?
