I'm two months out, pre-op pants size was 22 now I'm 14, shirt size was 3x now I'm large still can believe it! I thought to myself that I was goin to star buying new clothes at least when I get to 180lbs but apparently I should at least buy some now b/c my old clothes are too big and my pants fall down all the time. I'm very excited w/all this positive changes!!!

7wks post op Initial wt 265lbs Today 05/25/12 WT 212 Congrats to all of you! -
I everyone! I been away from my RNY family, hope everyone is doing ok. Had a hectic 2wks, persuin some goals I had in mind abd etc. Anyways I just want to congratulate everyone on their decision of a healthy and better life. ~ STAY FOCUS ~ It seems crazy for me tomhe thought that I had surgery 7wks ago (04/02/2012) had lost 52lbs. Saw my MD yesterday he told me that I'm doing great, he also mentioned that he project me to get to 140lbs in a year or maybe sooner and that right there was a huge booster for me. I been very strict w/my life changing decision and I think is starting to pay off. My starting wt was 265lbs, wt yesterday at MD office was 213lbs total lost 52lbs I cry when I saw that wt. I got very emotional, well I been emotional for days but anyways I just feel to share my upbeat update!! Again determination is the key!! We can do it!!

Discrimination At Work
Yodelania replied to nomorefat's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Omg I can't believe what I'm reading, they suspended you for a pizza? Really!!! No way!! That for sure sounds WRONG, it must be something worst going on, oh and btw did they ever give you a verbal warning? Always remember that verbal warnings come first, then written warnings, suspension and then release of your duties but wow this is a shocker!!! Good luck and keep us update -
Hi Tor! It's nice to learn good news about you. You take care, btw how does sushi taste after RNY? Just curious lol

Hello everyone! First of all I want to say that I'm glad I had found a WLS support group that I can basically take w/me all the time (iPhone). My journey started back in September 2011 when I decide to pursue LGBS. My initial weight was 280lbs and I'm 5'6", today I'm 260lbs and my tentative surgery date is 04/02/2012, I had done everything to prepare myself for such an important step that will change my life; nutritionist visits, sleep study which surprisely I was found to have sleep apnea, PFT & EKG thank God are normal, my endoscopy is this Thursday 03/08/12 overall I'm healthy as far as no other comorbidity. All my life I had deal w/weight problems, I had lost wt an then gained back twice and I had done everything and honestly I think that GBS will be the key tool I need to change my life and to avoid having comorbidities in the future due to my unhealthy wt and strong family hx of DM/HTN/CAD/Hyperlipidemia and etc. I'm very confident and positive that I had made a great decision that will span my life I'm to star my pre-op liquid diet on 03/18/2012 and I had bought GNC Total Lean shake for that, but still have few questions that I wish you all can help. The shake contains; Calories 170, Calories from Fat 50, Fiber 3g, Protein 25g, Sugars 2g & Vitamins. I wonder if after my surgery is okay to keep drinking this shake? (I will address this question to my MD on my next OV). Thanks!
